Does this partially explain why Murph got pushed out? I have to think that this is just a holding pattern for a while to see if he wants to come back full time and take over one of the faltering slots. |

Hanley/Jurko? with Murph playing the role of Fredo and getting passed over. |

It beats Rozner's gig where he comes over to my dining room on Sunday between 8AM and 9AM to talk to me about the Chicagoland sports comings and goings. |

Somebody posted the article in another thread. I think there's a good chance that Hanley ends up taking over for Carmen, unless he's at the point in his life where he doesn't want to work five days a week any more. |

Listened to Hanley & Zander podcast from Sunday morning. They talked about Anderson and Donaldson. They actually were man enough to say that the Sox have to focus more on winning ball games than social issues.Took phone calls from both sides. Main focus was the Sox though. Not what Donaldson said. Haugh was was on "The Reporters" arrogantly saying he was positive JD was speaking racism in code. Haugh could be the worst of the worst at the the Score and that's saying a lot. Bernstein had a black female psychologist on and the two of them were telling us how we should think, what we don't understand, and what we're not capable of understanding |

Hanley & Zander took calls from angry White Sox fans for an hour. Let them talk uninterrupted for a couple minutes. Old Murph caller southside Ron called in. Then, Peggy & Dionne say they're going to continue going heavy on Sox callers but never do once they start girl talking. Peggy did refer to the Saudi golf tour as blood money. |

Nobody is buying it anymore, you can appoint yourself the next biggest thing and bat flip all day, but if you lead the universe in errors you just look silly, worry a bit less about people chirping at you and pay attention enough to actually catch the ball. Can only imagine what guys back in the day would've done to Timmy, could you imagine him facing a real hard ass dude like Bob Gibson, lil' Timmy would be crapping his pants every time he had to face a guy like that, and the rest of the league would have needled him incessantly once they found out how soft he is mentally. Plus, just watched a thing on Gary Payton where he said he would talk about anything he thought would distract his opponent during a game, it was celebrated as part of the NBA culture, wasn't Timmy's claim that he was bringing that type of swag to MLB, you can't have it both ways. |

Trash talk in sports, especially basketball, is widely accepted. However, certain things are off limits, and racial stuff has to be in that bucket. Now I did not find Josh’s comments all that offensive given the history of what had been said, but clearly Tim thought it was. |

Again, it wasn't Tim who sent it out to the world. And he didn't send it out in the previous series when there was a minor dustup at 3rd. It was Grandal jawing and LaRussa snitching on field business. |

Hanley's ESPN 1000 weekend partner Mark Zander is leaving to run 2 classic rock stations in CA. They had a rocky start but had a decent show. Hanleys blip show is the only old Score guy on the air who speaks freely critiquing Chicago teams and gets occasionally old score callers. On Zanders way out they talked Sox fans should boycott going cheap like Cleaveger on the teams radio partner. |
