They're in for Kap today. I only listened for about twenty minutes - but it sounded good. Hood was a bit the over the top - but Hanley fit well( Not having Mulligan may have something to do with it). The two were entertaining and a good listen. Wonder if new management is trying different combinations for a change or less network programming? |

I listened for their first segment. Anything is better than Kaplan. |

Hood is going to be doing the show the rest of the week. Always an informed and entertaining listen. |

Can't remember the last time I streamed ESPN before today. Wish they would let this just be the show with those two. Kap is just God-awful. |

Hood has to be partnered with a strong co-host, in a highly structured fast paced show. When he's solo he's a Chris Rongey clone going on, and on. |

I caught a little bit of Hanley and Pat Boyle yesterday. That was OK. |

Hood is one of those few hosts who can do no wrong from my perspective. I love his work and always have. His blackballing by the Score is criminal. It's hurt him as well as them. |

For all the speculation about ESPN 1000 adding a morning show from 7-9, Hanley and Hood would be great for that. Compete with Mully and Haugh for those couple hours, provide a solid lead in for Kap, etc. |

I'm not a big fan of Hanley, but without question a Hood + 1 morning show sould destroy M&H. |

no need for Hanley. How about someone under 50 and not doing this for 25 years already? Like, Chris Bleck is...fine. He has the shallowness of a Conor McDoink but isn't as grating. He and Hood have good chemistry on their night shows. (maybe you need old folks for this timeslot given the hours) Or someone from out of the market Hanley brings nothing to the table. He doesn't take too much off, but putting him in mornings isn't some big salvo at TheScore, they already proved Hanley's value over replacement host is small. |

or, honestly, Joe Cowley would be good at this and also meshes well with Hood |

Hood and Cowley would instantly become the best sports show in town |

The show when he went off on Telander was one of the most awkwardly entertaining shows in WSCR history. Kind of like when the babyface finally gets the arrogant heel in the corner and starts beating the hell out of him. |

more for Hood Quote: Look for Good Karma Brands ESPN sports/talk WMVP 1000-AM to fortify its local lineup with the addition of a nightly baseball talk show. Mike Thomas, market manager for ESPN Chicago, confirmed that Jonathan Hood will host the new show from 6 to 7 p.m. weeknights, starting March 23. https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/03/09/ ... -dead-air/ |

I guess that will change. I've generally liked that because the Score sucks after 6 |
