Laurence loses another job. Tough times for media, but I think the bosses are starting to realize the truth. Not a lot of talent and it can be replaced by younger and cheaper. There is no reason for the Score to maintain his two hour of replays. Or is there ?????? |

All regional sports networks churn through talent even in good times. NESN usually marries them off to Red Sox players. Sucks for Leila Rahimi, she should get a job at the Score. |

Yeah..Leila has that voice that sounds like she got done doing 20 reps of 225 on the bench..all pumped up and excited. Suzy Kolber has that voice too..bordering on very masculine |

Larry isn't meant for TV. I don't think he's good at radio either, but especially TV. He just looks awkward. He'll always say it was because of COVID that he got fired. But that's probably not the reason. I mean sports are back. Leila was talented. She new sports, unlike Julie. I didn't mind her voice. Sure, it's not a typical female voice but it didn't bother me. |

And Kaplan’s show being cancelled is deserved. He sucks. And Mac once said that show has no audience. Very poor in ratings. He said this when we were in good times. |

As I said in another thread, I think the RSNs have stopped lying to themselves about having to produce anything other than their destination programming. There's no reason to have Adam Hoge and Matt Spiegel sit in leather chairs and have mildly spirited conversations about the Bulls in exchange for steakhouse gift cards, there's no reason to do a local version of SportsCenter, or Gas/Beer/Weed Money, whatever. Just show new games, replays of the new games, and old games. If there are still hours to fill, grab those puff pieces the teams produce on their websites and run those. There's no reason to run these channels as full-fledged broadcasting outlets because no one cares. It'll be interesting to see how much new Cubs-adjacent programming Marquee ends up not producing. |
