I was listening to Hub last night while driving around shopping. He talked about how he sets a budget for Christmas shopping every year which his wife exceeds.

I thought Hub was a tribesman.

what happened to Silverman? He was ubiquitous at the Score for something like a decade and then just disappeared. I thought he was great.

Yeah, Silverman was fantastic: knowledgable, articulate, and just generally a genial, jovial guy.

It's amazing how he just disappeared from the airwaves.

I see that he writes a weekly column for Forbes, but he doesn't seem to be doing much else media-wise. I wonder what happened.

Watching on Twitch and Spiegs looks healthy. Herb looks like he looked at Jiggs and J Hood and said that is the physique I want.

Do any of these guys actually think they'll get a full time gig? They're never hiring a partner for Parkins or Bernstein. Entercom just fired producers so they definitely can't afford another host.

Is Hub Jewish?

If one has listened to WSCR over the years it would seem the following is true about the Jewish hosts of which Bernstein is most representative.

Constant bashing of Christians, especially evangelicals, yet take every Christian holiday off and give Christmas presents.

Constant bashing of religion in general, yet are off on all the Jewish holidays.

Bashing of the purported evils of society, especially segregation, yet retreat to extremely segregated houses of worship.

One may think that 99% of what they say on the radio is simply performance art if you look at the reality of how they live their lives.

He said all the Jews work Xmas day at the Score. He gets a pass because his wife is a shiksa (non Jew woman). When Hub fills in solo host he's now the best host at the Score by a longshot.

Hub and Spiegel have both worked the high holy days, saying it wasn't that big a deal to them. Bernstein has said he had to turn off a Bears game at sundown. Maybe it's important to his wife and her family but not to him. Who knows.

I'm listening to Bruce Levine and he's telling stories about how Ed Farmer could hook you up with pretty much anything because people always owed him favors. Apparently he texted W Bush whenever and they were on a first name basis. Interesting.

That's a lot of people besides Stone lol

and now Parkins did the same thing yesterday, talking about his wonderful christmas and the new holiday traditions he was starting with his son. Maybe his wife is christian. Still, it seems odd to me to grab on with both hands to religious holidays in which you aren't invested.
