pretty sure I heard it from a dispondant Sox fan who's friend was writing a letter to Kenny Williams. "He's on chapter 13 and he's calling it What The Fuck, Bitch"
I'm pretty sure that was what I heard as I was driving around tonight. Whoops!

The f-bomb is nothing compared to my shock that Hood is still on the air in Chicago & sudden;y mentioned here! - What? Since when? - I never hear him on the air & I never see or hear anything about him. I thought he left WSCR to "make a name for himself" at another station. Hmmm. He must be on the Holmes plan.

He's in the bullpen....long relief role, seldom used.

He can't seem to get over the Telander situation. While he was unprofessional he was exactly right.

There's no points for being right. But people in the biz will remember the behavior for years from now. And especially in Chicago...

I think in the final analysis, Telander would have been gone in a few months anyway. Look at it this way: Telander right now is on a show with Lou Canellis, some real estate shark, and a home repair guy. No one talks to the home repair guy, the shark runs ads during the show (self-sponsored broadcast slot?) and Lou is basically the lead. A saturday "all-stiffs all-stars" call-in show on ESPN.

You forgot the most important part of this - Telander, Lou, and the gang are paying MVP to be on the air

Just because I think this d-bag Aldegauer looks like he still dreams of being a roadie for Def Leppard:

I like Hood, seems like a good guy, but at most, he is a part-timer / fill in guy. Heh had his chances and hasnt done anything with his chances. Hood is fine in small doses, not 5 days a week.

J Hood has grown on me over the time he's been at AM1000 and I'd be cool with him getting more air time...as long as he's got a decent partner. His solo shows are brutally boring and didactic IMHO. His long monologues are dull and school teacher-ish - SNOOZY!

When he's on the air with a couple people (JD, Carm, MJH, et al) he's looser and funnier.

I never listened to him on the other station so I don't care about whatever baggage he might've dragged over to ESPN.

Hood and Silverman were fantastic on Saturday/Sunday "around the horn" type shows during football season. Hoods unofficial post game shows for basketball and baseball were better than the actual post games. The guy is a talent and is being absolutely underutilized.
