not even a year ago, you could listen to any Chicago team in TV or radio and the crew was if not great but listenable. now ,and this is only the ones I regularly listen to, have gone straight into the shiter.
I can barely stomach a Cubs broadcast,who thought having Sutclif on was a great idea,especially on Sunday? I am scared as hell for what is going to come out of the Hawks TV this year.
When I listen to the Bears it is worse than warm beer bad.

I'm developing a dislike for Benetti locally. I think he is better on national telecasts.

I don't really care about the announcers and color analysts unless they're real good or really bad.The only problems I have with Chicago team broadcasts are Marquee's fake shills, Cubs radio ad flooding, and Jason Goff doing Bulls pre & post game.

National baseball I really enjoy John Smoltz &. A.J. Pierzynski's insight.

National football Tony Romo is absolutely dreadful.

Find the Cubs Marquee stuff unlistenable, will turn down the volume and just watch the game on the rare occasions I stumble across a Cubs game.

Do enjoy Amin on the Bulls, they have fun and have a decent product to sell.

Hawks will be a non-entity, cannot image the miniscule number of viewers that will tune in next year during the "clunk for Connor" season.

Do like Benetti doing college football, in fact like him doing anything when he is not doing his gimmicky Sox broadcast with Stone.

Thayer gives you nuggets if you listen to him carefully when he does podcasts or guest spots, just not during game broadcasts, the current Bears radio product is average at best.

Benetti sucks locally and nationally, though I agree he is slightly more palatable on national broadcasts because he has to be more circumspect in displaying his "personality."
