Fade to black.

Hope they bring Jeff Joniak and Tom Thayer with them to 1000.

Yeah I like that combo too.

I'm assuming Bears games will be Carmen with play by play and Jurko on color

Where are they going to shove those Sunday White Sox games?

good. Hopefully they can build the entire day's schedule around the game, unlike 105.9. I've always found their coverage lacking.

They likely build the entire station around Bears coverage.

This would shove WSCR even further into irrelevancy as the level of Bears content on the station has declined significantly.

Still think WSCR would be better off setting up a connection at Shady Acres and giving Mac, Uncle Terry, and North an hour or two each week during Bears season, they could not do worse than what they are doing right now.

Mac's Friday podcasts for BetRivers during football season are pleasant. Half an hour, maybe one commercial.

Meanwhile, Pappy's weekly betting hour on 1000 is a disjointed mess.

ESPN 1000 has been pretty honest in their White Sox opinions compared to the Score hosts kowtowing to the "great humans" Cubs and near tears "total confidence" in Jed Hoyer for no apparent reason other than the partnership.

Always has been that way with Pappy, as long as he has someone to run the show and let him just be a goof, he's fine.

Mac has to be interested, but on his worst day he puts on a far superior NFL/Bears show than anyone else in the current lineup at WSCR.

Heard Joniak on last night, seems they will continue with the team run shows on WMVP, he sounded a bit more relaxed, sounded totally different.

Live Bears stuff is the only content that really interests me on local sports talk radio, not sure if this will do much to help with ratings, but they seem all in on Bears coverage, really no reason to listen to WSCR anymore, especially when they have the mind numbingly boring hit and run show on weekend mornings when I'm looking for Bears coverage.

Zach Zaidman doing a few innings here and there plus Blue Demons Basketball doesn't help either.

I am surprised that AM1000 stuck with a post-game show of Jurko and Peggy now that they are the official home of the Bears. That is very disappointing.

I don't particularly care for Joniak and Thayer, but hope they at least minimize the amount of in-game commercial reads on AM1000. Not everything that happens during the course of the game has to be sponsored.

On the bright side, at least Hood and Abdalla are not involved.

They will put together a network to reach as MANY rural areas as possible.
