With their 7-11 slot.

They'll still have 7-9 as The Show.

9-11 will probably change to Chicago Football Tonight.

I think all of you Hood fans will get your wish. JD is going back to cover the Bears. Right? He'll be at Halas Hall all week.

So that leaves Carm and Hood to do the 7-11 slot I would assume. Maybe Chet gets it but he's a regular on the weekends and he's still gonna do Notre Dame pre and post on WLS.

I actually haven't heard but I don't think they have anybody else to cover the Bears besides JD. Maybe they'll hire somebody.

I know JD and Carm both signed new deals.

If they did Hood & Carm from 7-11, with JD jumping in from 9-11 specifically to talk Bears, that wouldn’t be bad. They’ll be talking football the majority of the time anyway, but at least that would give them 2 hours a night where they could talk Bulls, offseason baseball, college sports, etc. Just keep Levine the hell away. Bruce talking Bulls is pretty painful.

Hood might get more air time before the fall actually. JD has to be at Bears training camp starting in 2 weeks.

Isn't being a beat reporter on the path to becoming an on-air host? Now that JD has a regular on-air gig, wouldn't someone else be picking up the Bears beat?

Silvy originally use to host Silvy and Carmen at nights and do the Bears beat regularly. They didn't take Silvy off the Bears beat until he was promoted as Jay Mariotti's co-host. I would bank on JD doing Bears stuff still unless somehow, he is promoted to a midday slot, with Dan Patrick leaving.
