Caller Mike just made a fool of Murph.........LOVE IT!

Caller Mike will not be going to Brown's.

Jerk. He embarassed Chicago.

Thank God Murph apologized to me for that.

Murph got all worked up when the caller mentioned that the Cubs play in a weak division and said "What does the Cubs playing in a weak division have to do with them making the playoffs?" Are you kidding me??? Because it is easier to win a weak division than a strong division DUMBASS!

That caller was right on and made Murph look like the fool he is. He was level headed and had great points but then Murph treats him like an ass. And I love how Murph asked him a question, then 2 words into the guys answer Murph cuts him off and says "Quiet you have to let ME talk. Lets have a discussion" Murph you pud, he was answering a question YOU JUST ASKED HIM. I'm embarrassed for you.

I may, and other people may listen to Murph on occassion, but does anyone really respect the guy? It is not just that he doesn't know sports, it that he is an arrogant jerk to people. You just can't respect that.

This is all correct. But, I have to say, I have found this first half hour very entertaining.

Of course when What's your Beef starts, I'm punching the button.

The Cubs don't have to get better, the other teams just have to get a little bit worse

Murph is definitely the worst radio personality in Chicago hands down. I dont even want to hear the old "Love him or Hate him, he has very loyal listeners" shtick. The guy is a meathead who routinely gets showed up by smarter, more eloquent callers, and his only real defense is to cut them off right when he realizes hes about to look stupid.

Admittingly alot of this opinion forms from what I hear from other posters, as I have probably listened to his show for about 7 minutes total in the past year or so, but thats every time I actually did put his show on, it almost always backs up my opnion of him.

The funnier call was about 5 minutes later when some kid called in and asked him -

"Dude, why did you flip out on him? He was just calling to sympathize with you and you flipped out..."

Murph - "Well, let me ask YOUUU something Mr. Flip-out..."

If I ever change my name, I'm going with Mr. Flip-Out.

For the benefit of those of us that weren't exactly paying attention to Murph at the time, what exactly happened during this call?

It would have to be Dr. Flip Out!

I love it.....even an elderly, respectful lady called out Murph for being a piece of shit!

It was a little hard to follow once Murph started going off but the guy said he was embarrassed for Murph because (according to him - I haven't listened in a while) Murph had said a few days ago the Cubs were going to the playoffs and now he was all upset about the team's prospects.

Then, Murph lost it and I'm pretty sure the guy said Murph was an embarrassment. Then, he really lost it, hung up on him, called him a jerk, and then said he (the caller) was an embarrassment to Cubs fans, Sox fans, and to the city of Chicago. Then, he apologized to the city for that caller's opinion.

What a douche.
