Should I put this here or the Douchebag thread? Great Mitch Witch-Hunt continues: WSCR has narrowed down "offensive material" here to 5 IP's. A source tells me 2 of the IP's are coming from inside the NBC Tower. Yes a source said "inside NBC Tower" bot no she's not sure if it's from inside WSCR. The other 3 are from "outside NBC Tower" - again, I'm just quoting here, I don't have any other details. I also don't know if all 5 IP's are from the same guy or from different people. Last odd tip: the name "Steve" has come up more than once - but is it a real name or fake name or username or registered IP user? So far I don't know and they don't know, but "nostradamus steve" better go dark!

I worked in the NBC Tower for several years. I posted to this board. Therefore, my IP would have been coming from "inside the NBC Tower" and I have never had any affiliation with the Score.

And, I looked at offensive material all of the time!

There's a mod that'll record the IP along with the message. By default, phpBB doesn't save that info.

Finally, here are some of the facts on the great IP hunt thanks to a drunken text from a well-known WSCR Jaegermeister imbiber: somebody either sent or posted threatening messages to Mike North, either here or thru northtonorth.com, and since the messages kept coming and kept getting more threatening, the Chicago police and Park Ridge police were called.

What offensive material? He sucks- that seems to be the majority of people's opinions. I am not in the NBC Tower and I think he sucks, so I don't listen. Your post needs more information.....

I agree. Anybody threatening Pappy is an ass hole.

But if it were from this board Big Fan would know about it. The Police would have to ask him for the IP's. BigFan said he's never given out IP's. Who knows. Maybe the police told him not to disclose that info.

I don't recall anything here being threatening to Pappy or anybody for that matter.

Next thing you know he'll threaten to sue....

As a guy who has people working for me and I have been offered such software to track what they do, without them knowing.

couldn't they just see the time of the posts that go up and then track which computer was on the site at that time and reasonabley then come to a conclusion that it may be the person they are looking for?

Was this one really that hard to figure out?
