Their act is growing a little old. I loved the angst during the Jauron years. Today's show is mind-numbingly pointless. They're screaming and yelling about the offense. What did these guys expect. Backup QB, backup running backs, poor O-line, average-at-best receivers -- including one that doesn't know the plays.
I also loved how they were clamoring to stretch the field. Guys did you see the fly pattern to Devin that was about 15 yards short of its intended target? That ball should've been picked off. How about the late attempt to Berrian? Another underthrown pass. Guys, he can't throw the deep ball -- neither can Griese. They have to stick with the short stuff, that's the only thing Kyle can do with any efficiency.
Originally, I too thought that this would be an opportunity to judge Orton. Now I believe that isn't the case. There's no running game, no deep game so defenses are just going to pin their ears back with the rush and also jump all over the short routes.

As least they're keeping up Murph's standard

It's always been old to me. They scream for the sake of screaming. They just try to live up to their reputation. They think people like it. Hey, some meatballs do. I think initially it was real. Now they have become caricatures.

I like meatballs and I like Doug and OB. The problem is that the show has to be on directly after the Bear game is over. Unfortunately the Bears have played very few noon games so they get put into odd time slots.

I don't see how an act can grow old when it is on 16 times each year.

Well, it did for me. How long have Doug and OB been doing this show? 10 years right? That's 160 of these things, plus playoffs.

I know they both played the game but they often sound like idiots.

It seemes like it's the same speech every week, "We need to throw the ball down the field". It's pointless to make these statements when the guy behind center just isn't capable of achieving this task. This team is bad. It's just that OB and Doug don't appear to be bringing any fresh thoughts to the discussion -- and neither do their callers.

Doug and OB are what they are. Bitching about them is like bitching about a meal at McDonald's.
What else can be said about this piss poor excuse for a football team?

That is why the show is really only good directly after a game. It's pure catharsis.

Even directly after the game, these rehashed points are growing tiresome.
