ED SHERMAN SAYS: WSCR should have a strong dose of Hub Arkush in the new "Best of the Best" features. The former Bears radio analyst has emerged as one of the station's best assets. Free from his relationship with the team, his critiques are much more pointed. Monday, he labeled the Bears' decision not to rehire former defensive coordinator Ron Rivera "dumb." Arkush has solid information and he knows his stuff. If you listen to him and Doug Buffone in the evening, you will learn plenty about football. |

What great insight. Not rehiring Ron Rivera is "dumb". What's next? Adam Archuleta is "slow". Brian Urlacher is a "baby". Lance Briggs wants to get "paid". Rex Grossman is "inconsistent". If Hub Arkush calling the decision dumb is the "Best of the Best" then the score really is doomed. |
