Recently I've been listening to how Larry opens his show before I turn him off. It's always a patronizing open. Then he begs for approval. Here was todays open. Exaggerated a little but not really. Larry - Hi, I'm Larry. I'm really, really, really, really excited to talk to you guys today. I'm always really, really, really happy when we get a chance to talk. I hope you guys really, really, really feel the same way about me. Today's a really, really, really great day. Yeah, there is a horrible blizzard happening but it's a really, really, really great day anyway. I've got a lot of interesting things to talk to you about today. First topic...Bobby Knight and your kids. Holy fuck. That was it. I turned it off after that. People know you're patronizing them Larry. You sound phony. Why not talk like a normal person? You sound like Mr. Rogers. I'll bet you were changing from dress shoes to slippers as you did that opening. You do know you are talking to adults? Don't you Larry? |

He only thinks he's doing ground breaking radio. He thinks he's touching issues that have never been discussed before. He thinks he adds a unique perspective. He doesn't do any of the above. Let me guess, he hates Bobby Knight, just like Bernsie. Loho must have something on Mitch, because there is really no reason why he should be on the air more then 10 minutes at a time. |

Yes. Also, the Bobby Knight thing might be sort of interesting if Boers and Bernstein didn't spend four hours talking about it yesterday. |
