Post subject:  Great Murphy moments

Does anyone remember a caller to the Murphy late show back around 1992, during a Bulls, Knicks series who compared Anthony Mason, and Pat Ewing to animals. Anyway, Murph laughed along with him, adding his two cents. They then abruptly broke for a commercial, when they returned, Murphy had to issue an apology on behalf of the score, stating they in no way echo the previous callers sentiments. A great moment in the history of Mike Murphy, Lyons Township class of '66.

Has that been on your mind for 16 years?

I'm glad Bigfan has provided you a forum to finally release those thoughts.

Welcome to the board.

I agree, what a bunch of assholes. I remember walking into the 5th grade thinking how animal like all the Knicks looked. Unbelievable someone else had the same idea and called it into Murph. I wish I had a walkman with me at school that day.

Actually, Murph was the first call I made to the Score. He was asking about superstitions and I called to let him know that I never wash my hockey gear. I got the screaming OH NO drop. I felt special.
