I don't think it will ever come to the point where 670 "The SCORE" would dump all local programming in favor of Sporting News Radio all day and all night. The only way WSCR would ever dump its talent would come in a format switch from sports to general talk, which I don't see happening either. Format switches are usually on the FM side, and WSCR's parent company CBS Radio made 2 huge mistakes within the last 3 years by dumping oldies at 104.3 in favor of "JACK FM" & 105.9 should've gone back to its classic rock roots instead of becoming "Fresh" and geared towards women. I'm old enough to remember when WCKG was "All Classic Rock with Less Talk" and while it was long overdue for that station to drop "FM Talk", they put the wrong format in its place! Finally, if there's one thing I do see, I think Sporting News Radio will soon go under and FOX Sports Radio will take its place overnights on "The SCORE". Both sports radio networks are based in Los Angeles, but both lack the ratings and talent of ESPN Radio.

I never was a fan of sporting news radio, but I think Fox sports radio is much better than ESPN radio. ESPN radio may have bigger names from the tv side of it but I enjoy Fox Sports radio much more.

Sorry, Darko.

But it is an interesting question: what baseline ratings do you think you could get running SNR talent 24x7? How much more are you paying for local hosts? What's the payoff?

ESPN could ask the same question, and about the time they do is when Mac and everyone else goes satellite. On my Dish, for example, I have hundreds of local TV entries now. Not that I want to, but if I did, I could watch NBC with local Cleveland ads/news. Why not the same deal with radio?
