Let's think of NY cliches that Jesse will screw up.

"Hi, Dan and Terry. I'm really taking a bite out of the Big Orange."

"You know what they say about New York. It's the city that always sleeps."

"I was trying to interview Lou Pinella but he left his media session in a New York second."

"I've really enjoyed my trip here guys. I brought my family. I was telling my wife, you know what they say, if you can make it here you won't make it anywhere. Or something like that."

"Ya know what I don't get? I was looking to buy a nice watch. I went to Time Square and there wasn't one watch shop. I think that misadvertising if you asked me. I wasted a lot of time."

"I was walking down Broadway and you won't believe this guys!!!! There are men on that street too."

"It's funny here. They have women advertising their land scapping companies on the streets of Manhatan. They just ask you on the street. I had 4 ladies say to me "100 dollars for a blow job." I told them I'm here on business and I don't own a lawn here. They all gave me a weird look."

"So long guys. Reporting live from New York, I'm Jesse Rogers."

Let's just say George helps that product a lot. It's a pleasant listen.

Well, Jesse Rogers won't be hosting pre & postgame now that the Blackhawks have moved their radio broadcasts to WGN 720 starting this fall. Jesse & George Ofman do a solid job on "Hit & Run" every Sunday morning before the White Sox game. Jesse & George are as passionate as anyone when it comes to baseball. I also think the diamond is Jesse's second favorite pastime.

Jesse had one that even Boers had to call him on the other day. They were talking about A Rod and Madonna and Cynthia Rodriguez's name came up. Jesse said A Rod had so much money that even when C Rod takes half, he'll still have all of it. Boers was like WTF?

Anyone hear the great Jesse quote this morning? Zaidman said, "How did the NL not win that game?" to which Prof. Rogers replied, "How did the AL not win that game?"

Uh, actually, they did.

I think he's ok, but I wish he would just stick to his opinions. Often times, especially when he comes on Boers and Bernstein, I hear this guy coming off his positions to agree with them on random baseball issues.

by the way, NIU is very very very very very very proud of Jessie...every communications prof. in the place either knew him, watched his genius from afar or "started him on his path to greatness"...hope none of them actually listen to him or come on this board :)
