......Murph started in on the whole "quality bullpen" stat? I think he even confused himself more than once trying to explain it.

That's what I thought as well. Managers go to their pen to keep the other team from scoring whenever the starter has reached his pitch count for the night.

I get an average of about 22 Migraine's a month. And I never got one because of Murph in the four and a half years that a worked with him at the Score. :D

Grobber, did you ever get a migrane because of Jeff Schwartz though?

So you either understood what his point that he was trying to get to; or you had a headset on when he was broadcasting and couldn't hear him? ;)

so grobber, (if you are Grobber) are you coming back to work with him and save that show from extinction?

As for a couple of the questions asked in posts above:

Yes,it's really me(Grobber).

No, Jeff Schwartz wasn't the problem ever that I knew of(He felt bad when I was let go 7 yrs ago),but the GM at the time and perhaps one other person caused migraine's to me and others by their mere presence.

As for Murph's show, I think he's doing just fine as things are(didn't he recently sign a new contract?),and while Mitch and I get along just fine, and they certainly know where I am, I don't seem to have my phone lines burning from upper management to go back there at this time. I would listen to anyone who wanted to talk, but the trend is heading in other directions, don't you think? My guess is that Mitch gets asked about me from time to time, but that's about all I know. Mitch once hired T-Dub & me at ESPN 1000 months after the Score fiasco.Problem was he left a few months later and Len Weiner arrived and had other ideas. Part of the business.

Les, thanks for responding back. I personally will pitch the Murph and Grobber show to Mitch...I think Murph simply needs a partner to talk every once in a while, and if Mitch is intent on keeping those two hours on a traditional Score note, why not bring back another good baseball guy who's got a history in Chicago sports radio? Just tell me you wouldn't mind working with Murph and I'll get it going...

I got along great with Murph the 4 1/2 years I worked over there, but I think he's very happy doing a solo. He has Fred back on with him at times, and they also work well together. But who knows?

HE may be happy, Les, but his audience deserves better, and he can do better when buffeted with a partner. and as far as Fred goes, yes he would work too but obviously even with the two in close proximity for a couple weeks, no one has pulled the trigger which leads me to believe that it's not going to happen for whatever reason...therefore you would be an excellent choice...

Hey Les,

Thanks for responding. I do have to agree with the opinion that Mike is at his best when he has a strong counter point. He gets far too....focused? (some would say pig-headed) and at times he could use a strong personality to balance that out.
