He's a large, strong black man. Looks like he's in his late twenties. He looks like he was an ex athlete. Anybody know who he is or where he is from? He's sitting next to Paula for the Sunday show.

I wonder who is out at channel 5. I know Peggy had a child. Is she out?

I logged on for the same reason. He doesn't have a bio on the NBC5 site yet. Adamle is working for WWE, so maybe he's gone?

Anyway, this guy had to have recently played football somewhere...like you said, he's a big dude. Not sure if this is his debut tonight, but he seems pretty relaxed and personable. I'm not good with guessing ages, but he's probably in his early 30s, if that?

Yeah. He must have been in some other smaller market. You don't land a local TV job in Chicago - the 3rd largest market - unless you have cut your teath in smaller markets. Nobody starts in Chicago.

He's polished. He worked some where else for sure.

I asked the internet...it knows who he is:

NBC 11.com - KNTV wrote:
Sports have always been a part of Daryl’s life. He dreamed of one day not only playing professional sports but also of covering sports as a journalist.

Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Daryl graduated from Buffalo State College with a degree in broadcast journalism. He survived boot camp at Paris Island in 1990 and went on to serve his country in the Marine Corps. He then took a chance at his childhood dream of playing professional football and enjoyed a stint with the Lockport Invaders semi-pro team in New York.

He began his broadcasting career as a news photographer and reporter in Palm Springs. Soon after, he was promoted to sports reporter and eventually became a full-time sports anchor. His career then took him across the country to Jacksonville, Florida and Raleigh, North Carolina, where he worked until calling the Bay Area and NBC11 home.

Daryl has covered nearly every major sporting event imaginable including Super Bowls, the Olympics, college football and basketball national championships, as well as the Rose, Sugar and Orange Bowls, the Daytona 500, and major golf and tennis championships such as the PGA Tour’s Players Championship and The Skins Game.

Daryl and his wife Sandra love fine wine and very much enjoy trying new restaurants. But Daryl is a true sports fanatic, and in his spare time you can find him swimming, skiing, playing golf, working out and spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter. Daryl is also an active mentor in Junior Achievement helping local young people prepare for their future.

I NEVER watch these local sunday sports shows but somehow watched last night because I got caught staring at Paula Farris and kept watching. He's okay but very hoaky and too milktoast. He needs to bring out the stank and make things interesting. This isn't Disney.

So his name's just "Daryl"? It's not the guy from "The Office" is it? :P
