Dan Hampton is one of my favorite Bears of all time. There are pieces of that SOB scattered on football fields from Seattle to Miami. He redefines "toughess." Having said that, "I predict" this show will have a shelf life similar to the Salisbury/Rosenbloom debacle. And for similar reasons. One who succeeds in talk radio needs to be interested in succeeding in talk radio. Moles have told me Hamp already has been egregiously tardy for a Lo-Ho and the Hamp flight. When he was the Bears radio analyst on 'GM, the Danimal missed the entire first half of a game in New Orleans.

I don't wish anything bad on Holmes... a nice guy with some skills... but I see a bad moon rising on this program.

There are probably pieces of Hampton's Jack Daniel's bottles scattered on highways from Little Rock to Chicago as well.

Well, if Hamp is late, LoHo has been known to punch people in the throat, I bet Hamp is worried.

If LoHo actually upset Hamp to the point of a fight, what would happen first, LoHo crapping himself or Hamp popping out LoHo's eyes by squeezing his neck?

I think this show is mostly going to be Larry sucking up to Hampton and.........well, thats about it I guess.

Most of us agree with you, Mac. Larry alone sucks. Larry and Hamp will be "all time bad."

It will rival some of the worst the Score has had to offer:

-Any show Pappy had

-The Bear and The Bull

-Jiggs and a Pissed off Mac

Hampton as a radio host does absolutely nothing for me. He could not be late enough.

Loved him as a player.

I can't believe you didn't mention Hood/Telander/Buffone. That show was all time bad AND it was put in afternoon drive. At least some of the other shows you mentioned weren't in drive time. HTB show was in THE premier time slow which makes it even worse.

It was just off the top of my head. You're right. "Hood, Telender, and Buffone" was god-awful.

I'm in the extreme minority, but I always had a soft spot for Jiggs and North...

You're right. That was before Pappy had his huge ego. It wasn't "all time bad."

I should say any show Pappy had post "Jiggs and Pappy".

He also dreams of stabbing Dan Hampton.

thanks for stealing from an earlier thread of mine Mac! Kidding. I made the same comparison of Rosey/Salsbury a few days ago. It wont make it 12 mos.

Mac- Do you still have high opinions of Mitch? I know you thought highly of him at one time. He may be the dumbest higher up in Chicago in regards to sports radio in my opinion.

I can't believe Mitch made the same decision as Scumball Schwartz. I don't know that the show survives until February.
