That would be trainwreck radio. The fact that one guy sucked 15 years ago is kinda the whole point...try it again and it will suck again.

There's a place called the Illinois Center for Broadcasting, which I have heard commercials for on both sports radio stations. While it would be interesting radio to hear someone with absolutely no experience talk sports & interact with callers, I'm not so sure bosses of either ESPN Radio or "The SCORE" would be willing to experiment with a fan co-hosting with someone who's currently on board.

oh wow....well, you'd have to pay people to listen to 9 out of 10 listeners...trust me, that would be pure awful...

It could last for about a week at the most. I think you'd have the immediate curiousity factor, followed by listening because it's fun to listen to a trainwreck & then the realization of "bad radio" will kick in. After that: bye bye

Not sure how the "radio flow" would be, but if you put on a few of the original "guys who built this" callers on, you'd get a better product than some of the shows that are on the air now COU(Larry)GH. SSE can back me up on this one, but if you had a show with Strat, Double K, and Mason from Hyde Park, they would eat Larry for breakfast. Several of the other offerings we get on our radio as well.

yeah I could do it. Even without the years of education needed to learn how to talk and when to stop, or when to wind it up.

of course I need clear up some issues with the City of Chicago's Building Department, after that I got some free time.

I have those numbers programmed into my phone. And they are actually NEW this past week as the city of chicago building inspectors no longer have phones or voicemail. Everything is via email. They won't even let you in to see hem downtown in their NEW offices at 120 N Racine.

All designed to stop the kickbacks and corruption.

Instead they created a clusterfuck

My god. some of you think that the shows they have now are any better. Of course it will sound bad at first. Thats why you'd put someone with a little experience to guide the show but have any of you heard hampton? I would bet anyone that withn a couple of months, two or three studs from this site would have a more ebtertaining show than Telander, Holmes, Rogers and countless others like them. Wouldnt be hard

It would be hard to emulate the professionalism of an OB, a Doug, a JURCO! and soon to be a Hampton. (Even though I really like the first 3)

I can start in 1 month, where do I sign? of course I will need a show named after me immeidately and promoted, then I will show up next month.

I'm with fan on this one. I have no doubt that within a short period of time I could sound similar to a "classically trained" broadcaster.

Give me the 6-9 p.m. shift to work out the kinks and I promise you would have a daytime worthy show in less than a year. Unfortunately, like North, I also feel every station should have one host making 1 million dollars.

I'll do it. But I gotta have billboards.

Nobody listens to anything in this town until they see it on a billboard.

I wouldn't mind owning a station with licenses for both AM and FM transmitters. I hate to break this to you guys, but I won't make it a sports station. Will have a lot of sports conversation, but will be mostly current events type deal simulcasting on AM and FM primary feeds to make sure programming reaches office building detainees. Second HD channel on FM will be Loop-like music, going heavy after 9pm.

Managed wisely, radio can generate fantastic margins.

I'd have to call in my GUYS Stink, Hoffy(w/Mommy of course) and W_Z to give us the run down of Lincoln Square, bad festivals and how to pick fights with drunk angry Irishmen.

I'd want to put together something like WCKG had back when the lineup was Brandmeier, Stern, Dahl, Mathews and Tyll/Schwartz. I am sure there is radio talent out there. The trick is to bring it all together under one roof while still developing talent to replace them when they get too big.

They already created during the daytime hours - it's called ESPN Radio.

While I love hearing Wild Bill, my man does not last more than 3 minutes on a call nowadays. Not sure he could do a whole show, physically speaking.

Thanks for reminding (and spelling out) the name of the obnoxious screamer they had co-host the show and pimp Ditka resort condos somewhere in FL. So, are there any ramifications for Da Cotch? Is he going to limp into his financial guy's office and yell Here's your IQ, pal, ZERO. Aren't you the same guy who told me that resort condos are a good beez-neez when I was skeptificating about it? Who ya crappin'?
