Dahl talks local sports about 2 hours a day and it's alot more entertaining than that crap on the Score right now. He is London this week so I guess if I want any sports talk I gotta go to ESPN 1000. Probably gonna spend most of the week listening to Johnny B.

I haven't missed Dahl since he knocked back his last Jack and soda.

He is one of my three stations...(score / am1000 / jack fm) that I go to & from on my drive in. He does talk a lot of sports...and I find his show to be a good alternative when the others are not holding my interest.

I won't miss him or all his dead air...  Seriously, he has the radio voices of the Bears, Jeff Joniak & Tom Thayer from WBBM 780, joining him to talk about that sorry excuse of a team during football season. Given the fact 'BBM & 104.3 "JACK" are owned by CBS Radio, this is cross-promotion for both stations. Thayer will shamelessly promote his appearance with "Stever" come Thursday night when Newsradio 780 & 670 "The SCORE" actually simulcast the Bears' preseason finale in Cleveland.

Dahl talks sports but knows positively nothing about them. He acts like an expert but is just parroting back what he hears from his sons who now work at Mr. Skin and some fantasy football website after he set them up ala Stroger/Lipinski in jobs on WCKG and Hollywood , respectively, where they both failed. Dahl jumped the shark in 1978 and has been increasingly unbearable and self-absorbed since then. I don't listen anymore so didn't know he was in London. He can stay there.

"That Carlos Quentin, he's pretty good huh Buzz?"

"Yeah..."

"I guess he's in the running for MVP..."

"Yep...ah heh heh..."

"Well, he's good. And you know who else is good? Alexei Ramirez. He's a good player."

"I think he is! Heh hah..."

You're listening to the Steve Dahl show!

You forgot to insert 30-45 seconds of dead air in between statements.

Ahhh, that damn dead air. I swear sometimes I'd get up to check the breaker box. The only thing that rivals it is his constant grazing on the air! Eat before work, you fucking pig.

"A little dead air never hurt anyone," as Chet Coppock would say. Then again, when "the Jungle" was on in Chicago, sports radio "shock jock" Jim Rome & dead air seemed to go hand & hand.

Well good news. Jack FM announced this week they are cutting Dahl's show back by an hour to now end at 9:00 instead of 10:00. His ratings are absolutely atrocious. This is the beginning of the end for the bloviating fatass. :pig: :pig: :pig: :puker: :puker: :puker:    Here is the link:

I already saw the Feder column on "Stever's" declining ratings. OUCH!!! Something tells me it might not have been a smart idea for "JACK" to inherit Dahl's contract & stop their music weekday mornings to accommodate him & Buzz...

Hopefully they go back to playing music in the morning. I'm not a fan of the FM/AM talk shows. All I really need is a scoreboard update and music and my day is set

He talks to his kids.
He talks to his wife.
He plays his bad music.
He talks to Joe Walsh.
Lots of dead air in between.

If you've ever listened to "Stever" over the years, those constant "talks to his wife" turn into arguments married people always tend to have...
