As for Holmes, I felt that his Sporting News Radio game updates during the Around The NFL show last weekend were better than most of the stuff you normally hear. Granted, maybe him talking for only one minute or less is a positive, but that coupled with the Saturday night show where it's okay to try and be funny are probably his best roles.
My beef is more with the Score for putting these two and many others in positions where we can criticize them. They need better talent, better shows, and should have kept guys who are better than North, Buffone, etc. (meaning McNeil, J Hood, etc.).
Big mistake for Rosen to get rid of Hood. Mitch either didn't like the guy, or just didn't wanna pay for him to host weekends and weeknights again. So they went cheap... and it shows now more than ever. If I'm in my car in evenings, I'll be listening to JD and Mongo (as bad as that may not be).
