Holmes, like Bernsie, went from a good/great Bears reporter to a below average host. It was a gradual fall off for both too. When they both started fill in shifts, I made sure I was around a radio. It took Dan a year or two to get annoying, but Laurence made the transisition FAST. It's too bad, I wish they were both on the beat still. I can't listen to either anymore, and now we're stuck with ZZ who I just about loathe. |

I'm with you 50-50: Holmes always had a bad sing-song delivery to his reports, while Bernsie had great reports but a terrible lame closing where he tried to shout & overemphasize THE SCORE. (just like Joniak does his bad overemphasizing shouting on big Bears calls now) |

Not at all. I've said this before. Larry is a well spoken dummy. People say that's not possible. Larry proves that it is. There is also such a thing as a poor speaking genious I would imagine. |

I listened to a few minutes this morning and he did his best Bernstein impression. He said Cubs fans were immature if they went out to the wrigley area on Thursday afternoon to celebrate winning the division because its not the world series. Both of them are idiots. There is nothing inherently wrong with celebrating a division win. By celebrating, I wont cause the team to not make it to the world series. Ill also celebrate when they win the division series, the league series and world series. Both these guys need to stop telling me what I should or should not do as a fan of the team. |

Larry alwasy rips off Bernsie's thoughts. It's really amazing. When he would host with Bernsie he would repeat whatever Bernsie said right after Bernsie said it. It was pathetic. Larry didn't even realize what a complete jack ass he made of himself. |

Not for a week, one night, have a few beers, act like a idiot, then realize that the hard part is still to be won. I dont see anything wrong with being excited that they won the division, its just not the final goal. |
