Is this one of his first gigs? Or does he have past radio experience?

Hampton cut his media teeth stuttering and being bad on WGN's Bears pre and post game shows for 10 years. He also does PFW weekly TV show with Hub and Waddle. I think Hamp was in the Bears radio booth for a year or two before they hired Thayer. He was bad there too.

So Mitch Rosen said we need #99 to stutter and stumble on the Score.

At times he struggles to read through his scripts. He was a poor choice to partner with Holmes because Holmes is so intelligent and smooth. He is quickly becoming a star at the Score. But Hampton is horrible.

No. Smooth, maybe. But Holmes is not that smart. He is not becoming a star. Most of his thoughts come from Bernsie. Bernsie is his idol and the guy he steals material and thoughts from.

   Just for the record, in addition to his new duties w/LoHo on "The SCORE" middays 10a-Noon, "Danimal" is back on the Bears' Radio Network broadcasts. He's joined WBBM 780 as a postgame analyst on their broadcasts w/studio host Ron Gleason & former Bear Jim Schwantz this season.

I've got to disagree. I think Holmes is very intelligent. Not, that I really like Holmes as a radio personality.

I'll listen closely to see if he steals his material.

Mike - Lemme ask ya a few questions: Are you Mike North? Do they teach English 101 in Milwaukee? If you're gonna slam Hampton for his poor English, then you should hire someone to type for you. But obviously your Holmes-love has short-circuited your brain.

Porterhouse, you're too kind. Thanks for all of the kind words.

Yes, I am Mike North. Sorry, I'm still learnin' yer chat boards here ...and I don't love Holmes, but I think he is alright.

Sometimes I type too fast. My guess is that it has never happened to you. Are you Steve Stone?

And he's doing Creepy Crappy Postgame on channel 5! Why is there so much Dan Hampton in our football lives?

Dan Hampton was a fine NFL player. His life off the field is what interests me more. As a radio personality, he'd never let on that we once shared a Bourbon Street bed with a one-legged fatty! But we did! It! was! exquisite!
YES!

Because I'm new. Trying to get better at it.
