Dunno what you think, but I still get the sense of akwardness with Hood when listening to his updates. Just the small things when he says "this ughh update is brought to you by... ugh Chicago Home Fitness." And the way he ends his updates... nothing consistent unlike the other anchors. And how many times does he have to say "on ESPN 1000 and ESPNRadio1000.com?" His Lovie Smith impersonation is funny, but he's not better than Tom. Hood is better off as a host... he's being wasted as a Sports update anchor... in my opinion. |

I would disagree that Shaer is better. Shaer butchered every network rejoin, trying to fit 3 minutes of material into a 2 minute segment. Shaer stumbled with the best of them too. I would also agree that Hood needs his own show. |

I would say that Juday, Boden, and OG are better equiped at handling the updates than J. Hood is though. |

It seems to me that Hood is only doing this job until something more permanent at ESPN 1000 opens up. He already seems bored and disinterested in what he's saying. Truthfully, I can't blame him either. |

no big surprise. years ago he was terrible doing updates on wscr so they stopped asking him. then suddenly he gets a new job where he gets to showcase his bad updates. nice going space ball! |
