He hit up Notre Dame High School for advertising money? wow

I am sure they are happy they signed him up now.

If I was a parent I would just shit that we just gave this guy more money.

Jen is awful, she's probably nervous but is coming off like a bumbling idiot.
Mike, really, a T-Shirt? Come on, buddy, you're on TV, you look like a fool in your bakcward hat and tshirt.
If you really want advertising how about putting on some decent clothes?
Content is so so, nothing groundbreaking. Jen's play by play sucks big time "He throws, intercepted!" we can do better than that when its not live and we have time to write whatever we want to say, at least no dynamite!

So he just told Rocky Wirtz that he's turn the other way when he saw his dad coming, and mentioned that he wasn't able to read the clock back in the old Stadium (over 15 years ago  ), and some stories about when he was a kid going to games. Stunning, groundbreaking. Original. Nausiating.
Also, he straight up talks over Jiggs ALL THE TIME.

No suit. He's wearing a funny ribbed Jason Biggs kind of shirt. Jiggs wears a suit for all his other shows, what's he doing in that outfit?

Yeah I know suits arent made for large people to look good...but Jiggs suit looks like its in pain.

The question is how many times have you flipped to Mike and Mike

Too many old stories. I had to switch to WGN Morning news so I could get traffic and weather from someone who can figure out what day it is. Actually the Daley segment bored the hell out of me. I guess the other ones did too.

Jen has one of the most annoying voices on broadcast - has she taken any classes, worked on anything since she started with the Score?

And North looks like an out of work plumber - actually, sorry, that's an insult to out of work plumbers everywhere.

I dedicated the 3 minutes that I spend watching any TV show in the morning to check it out. They came back from a commercial break and within 5 seconds some young girl, not Jen, walked into the middle of the frame behind the desk and set down a piece of paper and left.

I know they did that on purpose. I don't know why but that is just funny to me.

The rest of what I heard is about what I thought it would be - with Mike not recognizing Javon Kearse on the sidelines and such. Also, Mike had some big tomato or something in front of his face. I could barely see back there to see him - which was the best production decision they could probably make.

This will not be appointment television for me.

I caught it early this a.m. - first hour.

Here is what I got out of it:

- The set looks just slightly familiar. 2 guys, sitting behind radio microphones, at a desk. With bobble-heads and other sports items on the desk. Hmmmmm....
- Jen, at least finish fixing your hair. I'll share a secret w/ you: People can see you on TV.
- If I had to describe the show in one word: dull. Not much happening.
- Credit to Mike: for one day at least, he lost the teenage-style shirt. He had a "Chicago" sweatshirt on. And repeatedly took his coat off and put it back on.
- I also loved the Notre Dame sponsorship. Your "big time" sports TV show is sponsored by a HS booster club?

That's the same time I was watching. I think it's a replica of the Rosemont water tower? WTF???

I rolled my eyes at the Jevon Kearse comment too: "Whoever dat guy is" - then after 15 seconds and someone telling him in his ear, he interrupts Jiggs to say "Dat guy was Javon Kearse, by da way".

I checked in for a chuckle but missed the ND add. He actually has a high school advertising this show? What about the thousands of dollars in advertising he already has? This show may not last as long as Dontfuckme.com lasted. WOW

The ND ad is at the bottom right corner of the "ticker". It just sits there. It's great.

As soon as I heard the intro song, I wanted to turn this show off. Then when they showed the guest list that included Mayor Daley, some Hernandez guy who is a sponser, and the manager of Chicago, it felt like the same old, same old. I gave it a shot while I was getting ready for work and do not recall any sports talk in the 30 minutes I listened/watched. Sounded like the Mike North Morning Show all over again.

Oh and the production of this show is priceless! It resembles a bad cable access show.

I've left on Comcast and let me tell you, sportsrise is MUCH more entertaining and TREMENDOUSLY better produced. It's a good template of what Mikey's show could have been.

I'd rather watch this than the Mike and Mike radio on television experience.

Anyone want to go spend money in Rosemont? I suddenly have the urge.

Seriously, how much money is the Notre Dame HS Booster Club paying for sponsorship? Same with the city of Rosemont? I missed their ads, but if I have an athlete at ND, I'm pissed that they're throwing away money on this garbage. I would feel the same way if I was a tax payer in Rosemont.

I missed the first half hour, i actually forgot about it. First impressions when I turnd it on, set wise....PTI, Mr. New idea stealing alot from PTI. I got to see Jen in the first 5 minutes, she still reads like a 3rd grader and the shirt she is wearing reminds of something bozo would wear and a 70's tux shirt with the ruffles.

Mike begging for advertising, but its good, but he wants more, this show has all the signs of turning into a infomercial. The show has no direction and is all over the place, which confirms mike is running it, they are showing cards/panther replays and Mike is talking about the bulls. The wont do a close up of mikes mug, sorta funny. Mike took 3 calls and they were all ass lickings for the monsters. Before I go on, let me say this, jigs might be past his day, but the guy is a pro.

Ok, jen is reading a email on camera, she has her face like 3 inches from the paper she is reading and her head is moving left to right, just to funny, she is so scared of the camera its almost sad.

Mike says he went out and got it done, the 2nd hour of the show is bought to you by........are you ready? This is big.......Notre Dame High School......what? He got it done? Nice job douchebag, sucking money from a school. So first step medical supplies and NDHS, this is what the worlds greatest businessman has come up with so far? Wow!

Jigs is trying to keep the show flowing, but mike just stops it with same old crap.

For the record, these subjects have come up
1. Ditka should be bought back to coach the bears.
2. Mike got screwed by the score.
3. Bebe, spaceball and jen is why they are there.
4. Mention of knuckles
5. NDHS and in case you didnt know, mike is a asst. coach.
Sound familar?

Jen doing sports update on the show, she is stuttering and stammering worse then hampton, she is awful, I mean sad awful. I actually feel bad for her.

Mikes touch to the show is having girls in low cut tshirts with nice boobies bring him coffee and emails, I am all for that type of stuff, but then dont say you are a professional, because there is a time and a place for that and its just out of place.

They have had the ceo from first step medical staff on and Jim Corno on to suck up to Mike, its like Jigs has taken a pill to make him disappear. It is becoming clear that mike really needs to be told he is great every hour. Jim Corno had this look on his face when talking about the deal with north that said " I love idiots" when looking at mike.

Rocky Wirtz is on, mr. hockey is drilling rocky now, same old questions based on his lack of knowledge of hockey. Jigs does a excellent job of sucking up to the guests, there is no better.

During the wirtz interview you can hear others talking off camera...lol, wow! Now mike is wearing a NDHS hat backwards while interviewing wirtz, i know he isnt a suit guy, but come one, act your age douchebag. Oh by the way, north is in a raggy old tshirt, which means the 18 year old tshirts will be broke out by weeks end.

Just a thought, mike is really begging for people to call advertisment, which tells me that 800k is more then likely 800 dollars. Mike says he isnt begging, well if it isnt begging, then its whining maybe, but seems like begging to me. In the middle of the interview mike pubs the monster show, nothing like timing moron.

mike says nhl players need to know how to skate..... holy shit, i think he had more of a point to what he was trying to say, but thats all that came out. Now its turned into old time boxing talk with rocky wirtz, jesus, ADD is a bitch for mike i guess.

mike sorta stoking bill wirtz, this is the same guy who made or allowed jokes about his death on the old morning show? I can tell you this, whatever teams that are on comcast, mike will suck up to them, this isnt going to be critical pappy, this is going to be, i need a gig mike.

This show should be called "pti chicago, just worse".

Mike keeps throwing out the 800k number in advertising and it just occured to me thats what he turned down from the score and always followed by snippy comments about the score, this is what i came up with. Mike turned down the 800,000 from the score, told them that he could get that in sponsers, so thats what he is saying so he doesnt look like a idiot to them, because even though he says he doesnt care what the score thinks, he does.

For the records, mike has the bigger microphone on the set, which of course means he is the boss. Mike doesnt have alot of questions for rocky wirtz, jigs doing most of the talking. Mike knew from the first time he saw kris versteeg that he was going to be great.....ok mike, sure you did. Mike starting to suck up more to rocky, more then lookly for a invite to short lived tv shows icon night.

mike bitching again about how they didnt have netting in the stands when he was a kid, doesnt understand it, i guess a kid getting killed doesnt do it for dumbass.

I will say this, jigs is getting more time then i thought.

mike has his mic placed right in front of his teeth, good idea.

Mayor daley coming up, i am going to take a break and let the horse out, daley annoys me and with him on with pappy, uh, no...lol

ok...i am catching some of this in hopes mike gives up some political insight. talking olympics, oh god, who cares? Daley threw in a few big words and mike looked dazed and had some drool coming down his chin the look on mikes face when daley lost him was pricless, i am laughing to hard to type right now...brb.

Oh my god, that look is going to keep me laughing all day, you could see mike trying to pronounce the word in his mind..lol.

Jigs has the first real tough question about employment, mike follows up with "some schools dont even have wood shops anymore" and then follows it up with a shut out to city workers..holy mother of god, he is really, truly a idiot.

then mike follows up with the hard ball question, "mayor, if you could get rid of one season in chicago, which one would it be"? I think it was winter, didnt pay attention. At this point, if I am jigs, the gun would be in the mouth at this point.

this daley segment is running a half hour i guess and its reached the point that there are no questions to ask because they wont ask tough questions, getting almost, as terry puts it, itchy time.

oh goodie, traffic update...for the 3rd time, jen has forgot to turn on her mic., fricken funny, now she is studdering and just...bad. God, lucky would do a better job.

daley looks like he wants to leave. Who can blame him.

mike trying to push the little guys questions, whatever jigs asks, then daley answers a bit, mike follows up with a totally different question instead of wrapping up a question.

Mike asks daley abut bcs....why not ask him about the snow plowng decsion he made, then unmade, ask a real question.

jigs plugs his book by giving daley his book and mike looks pissed..lol. Jigs is actually smooth, really good, i think jigs knows exactly how to work around mike, its good. Jigs is making himself a part of this show in a way north cant control...lol, jigs will be let go soon.

North brings this show down, in so many ways, he isnt funny, he isnt insightful and his comments are just way off subject.

mike talking now, plugging his buddies.

motorwerks in barrington is sponsering the last half hour, mike reads the plug and he has a psycho look on his face, weird.

gary calling the show, gary happy the pappy is back, hangs up.

Mike re-states he is right were he wanted to be....uh, wasnt it the webio, dontfademe.com.

yea, jen update time, cool.

According to Jen, there now seems to be a player on the hawks named "mark" havalet....lol. she is the star of the show.

mike decides they need to go over what they have littered on the desk they sit at, greeeeeeeeat. maybe not, jigs comes back and is talking vinny/bulls.

Mike says bulls need kirk hinrich, thanks mr. nba and thats all he says and its time to plug first step medical services.

Mike is proud to announce that the town of rosemont is a 1.2 hour sponser of the show. wow, mike says rosemont is one of the greatest towns in the usa....uh, no, god no, been there, no.

ted calling in the show, loves them, i imagine bebe out front of comcast with 20 dollar bills and a cell phone asking people to call in the show.

mike takes his 5th shot at the score today, reminds me i am missing mully and hanley today for this

jigs seems to like taking calls, mike doesnt and its clear, but mike loves the fans as longs as they open the wallet.

this has been a long 3 hours, the webio was so much easier..lol

mie comes back and plugs the viallge of rosemont again....like i said, mike is going to be a infomercial king one day. when mike goes on these plug sprees, he stops the show and its so bad.

now its time to go over the junk on the desk, this is the wrap up of the show....is 9am to early to drink some booze?

First mention of lucky, but not the last i am sure.

mike and jen discussing if mickey rourke still looks good....

mike reads a ass kissing email....well they must have at least finally got one.

mike just doesnt get it, what might have been funny 10 years ago, isnt now, he just doesnt get it. he also cant let the score go, he just cant.

show is done, in fairness, jigs does a good job, but mike and jen......oh my god, bad and worse and the scary thing is that north is in total control. i give the show because of jigs today a D.

North will destroy this, no doubt. In fairness, if they put anyone else in norths spot, this isnt a bad show, but anyone who saw it today can acknowledge that North dragged the show down quite a bit today.

Exactly what is an "ad" for a high school supposed to make me want to do? Give them a donation, send my kid there, go to a basketball game? What?

You are the man Vann! You're recap was far more entertaining than anything on that trainwreck. Seriously, I've seen better shit in a high school A/V class. I fear that if you try to keep it up though, you'll become Nic Cage in Leaving Las Vegas.

I'm intrigued by this whole NDHS thing. The school or the booster club or whatever didn't actually PAY him money toward the production of this show, did they, like a conventional sponsor? I would tend to interpret the ND "sponsorship" as meaning "this is unsold time, so I'll just give a plug and post the name of the school I coach at on the ticker." Right? I mean they COULDN'T give this shithead real MONEY, could they? I need to retain some tiny shred of faith in the educational system, public or private, in our country.

I kinda like the relaxed attire that North & Jiggs are wearing. However, Jen is wearing something that is nice, but it makes her look uncomfortable. She needs to wear something similar to them. I hope in future shows that they will have someone other than the medical CEO or whatever, Dave Hernandez. By the way, is he Mr. Hernandez on the board? They need to get some former players in...at least one per day.

i didn't mind it. jen sucks but she always has. i guess i just like the idea of mike going out and getting his own sponsors and working the streets. not a lotta guys would do something like that. most guys would of put their tails between their legs and taken the paycut. north may be a bumbling idiot but he's got cojones!

Look for low cut tops for Jen later this week.

I saw a few minutes this morning, the first 10 minutes and it reminded me of "Wayne's World".

After reading the recaps, I'm glad that's all I saw. Can't imagine this show lasts very long.
