Post subject:  Mike North the next Grantland Rice?
Yesterday North and Jiggetts' had columns in the Times! A real lame attempt at the old 60 minutes Point Counerpoint segment!What has become of the 4th Estate??? Dan McNeil has a column,what's next Jesse a hockey column,Zach on DePaul basketball,Jurko on NASCAR????????? You see it's not just having a column, it is that the column has to have some insight, provoke some thought by the reader. Somehow I feel that todays papers are becoming nothing but blogs.I sure do miss Mariotti!
