Well it sure won't be in Chicago radio. Maybe he can stand on a street corner yelling "M-C-F-A-I-L" while holding out a paper cup. Or he could become Ronnie Woo's replacement. |

But don't Cub fans somewhat like Woo Woo (or maybe feelings of indifference)? I assume there are some people on this board that are Cub fans (like me); yet I don't know of anyone on this board that likes Murph. |

I can't stand Ronnie Woo Woo and I can tolerate but not enjoy Murph's show. |

Hey, I like Murph. He stinks it up after learning that he will get bumped from the night slot, but he's the first sports radio guy who got me interested in the sports radio. Always hated him for being a Cub fan. |

I have to agree w/TAA. I first started listening after a friend mentioned the Score when they were on 820. I tuned in on a winter Sat. afternoon and heard this nasaly voiced guy talking about....yep, the Cubs and something called the Hot Stove League. He went on to tell a joke about the TB Bucs, and the rest is (my) listening history |

I used to listen all the way back when he was on FanTalk on WLS, before the Score even existed. What's nice (and it doesn't happen often) is that even after all these years, his show is still him sitting there talking sports and being very caller-centric. He hasn't felt the need to "move up to the bigtime" and have tons of lame guests, ignore the listeners, and do things like the Real Estate Game (still can't believe that's for real). |
