Would a Score facebook page work? Alot of organizations, politicians and celebrities use Facebook profiles to plug stuff and to generate buzz. Foxnews reads the wall postings (which is like a post here for the Facebook uninitiated) on air during their newscasts. This practice could easily transition to the radio. Just a thought. They already do texts, fax, email, calls and all that. And you know they would never repeat the shit we say on this board. It might also help them attract new listeners in the younger demographic. The Score could also advertise based on a whole range of variables that Facebook collects about its users. |

Deleted the Facebook tracking info on my computer this morning. Little bit scary of what they do. |

Our show has our own Facebook page. We don't use it for at all for using comments as feedback during the show, but we will be utilizing that tool starting next year. We use our Facebook page mainly as an information source letting people what's coming up in the show as well as another outlet for giving stuff away. We used it for our holiday party for tickets and other prizes as well. (our guess the score contest for example) I think indiviual show pages work better than an overall Score page because you'll need someone to keep tabs on it....and it's hard to find someone to do that. It's tough enough for me to keep up with our mailing list/newsletter/myspace/facebook pages as well as everything else I need to keep tabs on what's most important...the actual show. It may be something for the station to look into, but the 670thescore.com site is their top priority and with a new look coming out in Jan....which btw looks a lot better than what we have now....it'll be hard to find a "webmaster" to look at the overall picture rather than have the producers/hosts work on their own and make it how they wish. Just an opinion..... -RoCk |

Its just that Facebook can allow the Score to talk to a main demographic. I did not know individual shows had Facebook pages so thank you for disseminating that information. Facebook is just another way to be able to have listeners interact with the station and better promoting this platform. By either hosts having their own or for the station to have a page to encompass all talent would be beneficial. It doesn't need to happen NOW. But Facebook will just grow in popularity, it is much easier to use than Myspace and it would be smart to have every possible way one can, in order to communicate with ones audience. |
