When are they going to officially change the name from "The Mike Murphy Show" to "The Bash Steve Stone Show." Man, it's like non-stop now.

It really cracks me up. Murph's 'thing' is he likes to replay what someone says again and again and again, especially if they were wrong. If anyone cared they could have a field day replaying the bullshit this asshole says on a daily basis but nobody cares because he's insignificant.

Didn't he get mad at Boers & McNeil for replaying something he said and making fun of it.

What's good for the goose...

I just wonder if the station enjoys having their high-profile "baseball expert" ripped every day by their afternoon host.

Murph criticizing Stone is like a homeless guy telling Warren Buffet he was wrong about certain stocks.

Does anyone think Murph would be going after Stone like this if he were still employed by the cubs?

Murph is quite ok in my book going after Stone. He's a complete tool now, and he used to be just arrogant. Murph can pick at him all he wants...

Are you sure that Stone is a tool. Could it be hes still the best analyst in baseball but has a slight grudge against the team that ran him off.

Its not proffessional to hold a grudge but I still value the guys opinion

Do you think Stone would be taking his thinly veiled shots at the Cubs if he was still employed by them? Which is much more the issue.

More important, if he got to do some day games, then go home and watch MLB on the dish and see all the teams every once in awhile would his reports not suck? Which is 90% of the issue I have with the fact he is the stations baseball 'expert'.

Wasn't he fired because he took too many shots at the cubs?

Stone has said a number of times that he wasn't fired. Did he have any years left on his contract or did he tell the Cubs "no" before a new contract was given to him so that Stone could say he had the ball in his court and he left?

He takes shots, but he still wants a high management type position when the new ownership team takes over.
