I would be good with that, but no need for Jurko, just put Mac and Boers back together.

I think "SCORE" management ignored fans when Mike North left the station, shifted "Mully & Hanley" to morning drive & gave Laurence Holmes the 10a-Noon shift without giving other young "SCORE" guys a chance to win the job full time. They're not about to welcome Mac back over there on SportsRadio 670, especially after he left on less than great terms in 2000.

I will call you in 5 minutes to make sure !

Mitch, could bring the Score back to life! Could be like the pilot that saved everyones lives on that plane!

I agree with RDFC. That would keep my dial parked on 670 all day (outside of my of course impartial desire to see Drinky and Goff in the 10-2 slot :-) ), but no need for Jurko. Give me back my Heavy Fuel Crew.

Can you imagine the crowd at their first remote....

I like this idea as well. Fire Murph and give 10-2 to Drinky and Goff.

Bernsie, Mully, & Hanley 6-10

Drinky & Goff 10-2

Heavy Fuel Crew 2-6

Murph still is enough a draw he can hold a couple hours on the weekday shift. Put him on before the Cubs games. The Murph/Cubs fan listeners are likely to switch to the Cubs telecast anyhow, so you put D&G during those hours, then go into HFC and let them work till 6:30. Murph just has to reverse his corporate shilling -- more Browns at the end of the show, more RentalMax towards the beginning.

BM&H 6-10, M 10-12:30, D&G 12:30-3, HFC 3-6:30.

I don't think that is really fair to any of the big 3.

If they are going to reunite the HFC, it needs to be kept to the 2 of them. Bernsie will be fine in the mornings.

I'm not sure what Jonathan Hood's contract is like over at ESPN Radio 1000. With national sports talk airing on non-Bulls gamenights after 7p, such as "The Pulse with Doug Gottlieb" and the upcoming Brian Kenny show that debuts on ESPN Radio February 2nd, I'm not sure when Hood will be heard in the forseeable future...Meanwhile, Danny Mac's off the air until May at the earliest, but I'm in the minority on all the speculation he's going back to 670 "The SCORE". I'm not so sure that's happening, fans...WSCR may have a different management team these days, but they were stubborn enough to give Laurence Holmes the 10a-Noon shift without giving other guys a chance to win the job after Mike North's controversial departure & shifting "Mully & Hanley" to morning drive. Also, I've read that the famed CBS "eye" is having money trouble of its own...

Danny B in the mornings with Jason....6-10
Mully & Hanley mid-day 10-2
Boers, Mac & my Matty 2-6

and Murph with all sorts of special Cubs stuff.

Mr. McNeil was the ONLY reason my radio was ever on 1000. Now it will be 670 all the time and checking NPR at the commercials.

ALL LOCAL, NO PLAY-BY-PLAY (except for Monday Night Football)

6a - 10a Mike North, Dan Bernstein and Harry Teinowitz.
All three have different approaches and interests. Nobody lacks a willingness to be himself, despite how high the level of embarrassment grows. It would be fun to take bets on which member of this crew hires somebody to break one of the other's legs. And for which cast member would the contract be put out? In many ways, these guys deserve each other.

10a - 2p Marc Silverman, Jonathon Hood and Matt Abbatacola.
Silverman and Hood have not been given a fair shake yet at our place and, with Drinky's willingness to mix it up, this would be a great opportunity for all three to earn their spurs.

2p - 6p Dan McNeil, John Jurkovic and Terry Boers.
That's right... Mac, Jurko and Terry. Heavy Fuel II. Terry has enormous wisdom, but often resorts to condescention. The Good Kid and I would bring out his warm and fuzzy side and have him loving sports again. This show consistently would produce a 6.something in the adult male demo.

10p - 6a Les Grobstein.
I never have met anybody who can talk to himself for eight hours like Les. We'd give him a break, a chance to go clean the pipes, by sprinkling in "Best Of" segments from earlier in the day.

Post subject:  Re: PLAN A

If Danny Mac goes back to 670 "The SCORE" this summer, WSCR should move "Boers & Bernstein" back to middays, move "Murph" to evenings, and end the train wreck that is "Hampton & Holmes". Mac doesn't have the energy or the strength to do morning drive, which is a problem in itself, despite the fact I happen to like "Mully & Hanley". Those two should maybe join Danny Mac in a revamped afternoon show. I wish "The SCORE" would spend CBS Radio's money to lure a marquee name for mornings, and think outside the box, and outside the market to get someone who can FINALLY beat "Mike & Mike in the Morning". It seems rather obvious Mike Mulligan & Brian Hanley aren't getting it done either since Mike North left. A move or two has to be made for WSCR to accommodate Danny Mac, and right now, I'm not so sure this management team has the guts to do it.

5:30-9:30 -Bernsie solo and in general topics format. Let the man spread his wings a little bit. I think he would appreciate it and is prepared for the task.

9:30-1:30 Mully and Hanley- they really are a mid day type of show. Nothing controversial, nothing overly excting, just solid information with people who interact well with the fans

1:30-3 "The Baseball/Football/Basketball Show" featuring real experts. I'd love to see a real "Insider" get a daily brief show along with making guest appearances on other shows. When the sports seasons overlap, let the experts split up the duty. I really loved Mully and Hanley's personal GM Ted Sunquist for football.

3-7 Mac and Hood- Hood has a general knowledge of the sports landscape that I believe is unparalleled in this city. He can speak equally authoritatively on basketball, baseball and football. He has strong views that he presents in a clear manner. He gets the red ass with some callers but he also appreciates his fans. This combination has enough edge to keep you intersted, enough humor to keep you engaged and enough knowledge to maintain respect. The only question is whether Hood has finally learned to play as a team

7-11 Murph- He may not like the shift back to nights, but the guy always excelled in this time slot.

Would need video of the inevitable fight of North, Bernstein and Tiny, or at least the destruction Bernstein would do behind closed doors in the office. lol

Mac, Jurco and Boers is a no brainer and would bring a little fight back to Terry. Add in a quality Boyquarium for some younger flavor and you got something.

Well, City...Why doesn't 670 "The SCORE" have "Murph" in the mornings again? I'll never understand for the life of me why WSCR keeps moving this guy around...While I do remember "Murph" & Fred Huebner doing morning drive together, the former Bleacher Bum constantly moves all over the schedule...What's the deal? :?
