Think I watched last Thursday? maybe Wed, but not since and dont plan to.

Forget the money issue, it looks like nobody put any effort into producing a show.

I could care less about this show. Even if I didn't have to work at the time the show was on, Mike North is an idiot and I really have no desire to hear his opinions on sports.

I pass through as I switch from channel to channel - North says something idiotic and I'm gone - which takes less than 5 minutes

You "could" care less or "couldn't" care less?

I have it on in the background, basically as if it were a radio show while I'm at the computer and getting ready for work.

Good catch. It's early.

I see the poll has spiked the return of Ike South! YESSSSS!

I bet he TIVO's it and watches it again at night!

"Ohhh, that Mike North is soooooooo funny! Good looking ! and SMART............MOMM ...... MEATLOAF!!!!!!!!"

So we have 4 people that claim they awake at 6 AM turn on the monsters and stay home watching until 9 AM, lol, must be some very successful people.

I have yet to watch 1 second of this show. I'm going to have to put a note on the TV to remind myself to turn on the Trainwreck in the Morning.

I realize it's a tiny sample, but you've got some pretty devoted sports-talk fans on this board and as of this writing, over 70% of them are watching less than 5 minutes or NONE of this show.

Yep, we've got a real license to print money here, my friends.

The show is on as I'm dragging out of the bed in the morning, and while I'm getting ready for work.

Then when I get home, after recording it on the DVR, I FF thru it only to stop whenever the interns walk by, namely CyCy...

I've only caught this show from 6-6:15 a few times. First thing that needs to happen is replace Jen Patterson with a person who could provide updates properly. She offers nothing and she belongs way behind the scenes.
Like others have mentioned, North needs to get rid of those ridiculous t-shirts he sporting. Also needs to clean up because high definition tv is not to friendly to North.
The desk needs to cleared of those bobbleheads and hats too. Ripoff of Mike and Mike look.
What's with the "Ladies of the morning" gimmick? If your going to try and show some t&a than do it properly.

I saw about 15 minutes this morning. It's the first I've seen any of this show.

1. The "radio" mics they use crack me up. Are they pretending that they're on the radio somewhere too?

2. They came back from break and Jiggs is doing the intro for their guest (Phil Simms) and North is not on the set! He runs into frame about 30 seconds late, makes some comment about "the ladies" and scrambles to get his gear on and catch up. Nice and professional. Maybe he could get a gig on the NBC5 postgame show?

Actually, North & "Jiggs" are trying to land a radio partner for their new "Monsters in the Morning" show, similar to the simulcast Mike Golic & Mike Greenberg have with ESPN Radio & ESPN2. To my knowledge, "Jiggs" & North's show is being streamed online in addition to their new gig on Comcast SportsNet, but other than CSNChicago.com, I'm not 100% where else fans can download audio of "Monsters in the Morning".

I watched parts of the first week, but haven't tuned in since.

Hate to turn it on, because I like Jiggetts, and its painful to watch him suffer through this nightmare. I'm sure he bought into what North was selling, but damn, this is a trainwreck to end all trainwrecks. Sorta hope that he lands on his feet somewhere (granted, at his size, he'd roll to his feet at some point like a weebil) after this whole thing is over with. Sooner than later hopefully.

Not missing much Doug....I keep waiting for it to get better, but its clear that Mike is the one calling the shots because its the same ol thing....I think someone must have told him that the ladies are gaining in popularity because they're getting more and more face time...

I think "Monsters in the Morning" features many of the same bits & guests "Pappy" has had for years on "The SCORE" before he left. It's nothing really that creative. Besides, what's the deal with that set? Can't the folks at Comcast SportsNet spend the $$$$ into a window-level studio like ABC7, NBC5 & now CBS2 have at that hour? The set David Kaplan and the gang on "The Joker's Wild", I mean "Chicago Tribune Live" now have is a lot more relaxed & casual in comparison.

I watched a little this morning and caught a pretty funny exchange. Something like this, paraphrasing, but you'll get the drift -

Jen - ...that's something that would make you mad...

Mike - I'll tell you the city of Rosemont is going to be mad if you don't let me finish this spot.

Jiggs - That's something you should take seriously.

  I have to admit, Jiggs got me laughing on that one.

Of course he immediately backtracked about what great people are in Rosemont but that was funny.

window-level set? You'll have IkeSouth down there in half an hour; naked and holding a picture of Mike Nort...

Wait, Ike South is already there in studio...

   That's the one drawback about doing a TV show from a ground-level studio. It started in the '90s on "The Today Show" where they've broadcast from a ground-level studio in New York, and it gave NBC5, ABC7 & CBS2 the inspiration to emulate what the morning news/talk shows have all done.

Don't turn the TV on in the morning. Strictly radio news guy in the morning. Turn on Mully/Hanley once I get to office.
