Don't have too much of an opportunity to listen in, only during lunch breaks every other day or so, but I've listened enough to know that Mitch should cut his losses and soon. Larry isn't cut out to drive a show in Fargo, let alone the third largest radio market. As has been stated, if he's not stating the obvious, patronizing his listeners or trying to tie a topic into race he STILL is trying to Bernstein his way through a show. Larry, there's a huge difference between you and Bernstein...he's good at what he does. You may not like Dan as a host, but it's hard to argue with his point 90% of the time no matter how abrasive he comes off. With Larry I catch myself shooting holes in every one of his viewpoints. Big difference.

Mitch, the show's a failure, keep Hamp around for Bears season and Bears season only. Put Holmes back on the Bears beat, or better yet pay him to sit on the sidelines with Murph and give Mac/Goff the 10-2 spot.

the only good thing to come from this show is Matt Weber.

Zero people predicted good things for this show. Except Mitch. That should give his bosses the shudders...

Other than the fact that he's willing to play basketball with you, what do you find good about Weber? And don't tell me that he knows sports (something I would dispute anyway). Your standard for sports radio is that the hosts must be entertaining, not that they be informed. Are you seriously going to tell me this bumbling, stumbling incoherent mess of a host entertains you? If so, your passionate embrace of B&B bears less credibility than ever before. At their best, Weber's shows are reminiscent of the generic ESPN national weekend programming that lulls me into deep slumber....

Caught the top of the hour just now. Two callers said Ben Gordon is better than Derrick Rose which sent Larry into some really contrived Bernsteinian histrionics about how stupid Chicago is and NOBODY SHOULD EVEN WATCH BASKETBALL ANYMORE IF THEY DON'T GET IT. While Rose is obviously the best player on the Bulls, I'd say Gordon is probably #2, and it's possible that some people have kind of a sentimental attachment to a guy who's actually stuck around for five years. (I liked him a lot in 2004-05 but I won't miss him when he leaves.) I'll also concede that part of radio is theatre. But throwing a temper tantrum at that scale because someone said Ben Gordon is better than Derrick Rose is just weird bad radio. Now if they said the Panther was better, see, that I'd get! The whole thing just came off like trying too hard. I should've known there were rough waters ahead when they opened the second hour with "A Salute to the Life and Times of Boers and Bernstein." Ugh.

Besides Dan Hampton sounding like "Stuttering" John Melendez, this show is like nails through a chalkboard. When is "SCORE" management going to put this train wreck out of its misery and pull the plug? They could be airing Dan Patrick's syndicated sports talker, or giving guys like "Webby", Jason Goff, Matt Abbatacola & even Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch a REAL chance to audition for this time slot, or simply give Mike Murphy four hours to work with between 10a-2p...Mitch, do something! This sucks! :x :x

the logical thing is:

mac/somebody else 6-10
mully hanley 10-2
b&b 2-6
murph 6-10

but they're not gonna pay murph to sit around and watch sox games 5X/week.

I can honestly say, without Gordon this year, this team would be just as bad as the Floyd era teams. LoHo needs to calm the fuck down and look at things rationally. No one is saying Rose won't be a better player, probably as soon as next year, but right at this moment it's about a goddamn tie honestly. Neither one can defend(actually Rose may be worse then Gordon), when Rose is doing his thing, he's the best on the team, but it's happened occasionally. Gordon is a WAY better shooter/scorer right now and it's needed.

I've really only known her in that Disney show kid stuff, so I don't see her as an adult. Now if there's an adult role she's done that needs to be brought to my attention, let me know.

Yeah, she's still doing that Disney ish garbage and probably will for a few more years until she's 25 or so when the Disney luster runs off. Too bad she'll be pigeonholed until then.

Thumbs up, but unfortunately for us, unless you've encountered some, I haven't found too many Indians who dig the brothers(or even like black people period) so we'd be out of the conversation.

this will be rehashed til May, but Mac doesn't sound eager for mornings. It therefore makes sense to pair Mac with a few fresh legs and stick him in drive time where he is a proven commodity. That slides B&B to 10-2 and if they decide to pay Murph and the King, 6-10 for them, leaving M&H in the mornings where they have a modicum of success. They'd kill ESPN all day long with the possible exception of 6-10 am.

JGG, its funny that you mention that.

I went to Von Steuben HS on the N.Side, which was the first school that I went to that wasn't all black. In fact, they tried to make it a melting pot by making sure it was 25% White/Black/Hispanic/Asian.

Anyway, one of my first crushes was on this Pakistani chick I believe, her last name was Hussein. I remember I passed her a note in computer class to tell her that I liked her; she just laughed and never responded.

4 hours of Murph??!! good God NO!! Have you listened to Patrick's radio show? It's the same as Tirico just with alot more pauses and dead air. His show is right where it should be, late night filler.

Got any better ideas, Izzo? "SCORE" Program Director Mitch Rosen didn't bother giving anyone but LoHo the 10a-Noon time slot once "Mully & Hanley" shifted to morning drive months ago. If it were up to me, I wouldn't split up the time slot with 2 hours building a bridge to "Boers & Bernstein" in afternoons. The guy who I think would be best suited for this time slot is someone who updates on with LoHo & "Stuttering" Dan, along with "Murph", and will build a bridge to DePaul's latest loss tonight vs. Villanova at 6p and that's Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch! I realize he's called "King" by Terry Boers & many "SCORE" callers, but I'm pleasantly surprised by "Whip's" passion for sports talk & I enjoy when he's on...

thanks for the kind words tallest little person. i agree that i am a stumbling/bumbling/incoherant/generic/espn like/excuse for a host as you so eloquently stated...and you absolutely have the right to feel that way and to be lulled to sleep by all of my tired saturday and sunday shows. but I'd absolutely put my sports knowledge to the test at any time. I know far more about sports than you. In fact, I'd beat you at any sport on the field/court. hell...I'll beat you at any video game sport. But thanks for tuning in...if anyone's tired just tune into one of my shows on saturdays and sundays.

(i hope no one takes any of this too seriously, i actually couldn't care less about what tallest little person thinks. but i'd still kill him at any sport.) : )

It's no skin off my nose either way. If he doesn't join, B&B are certainly guaranteed to stay together longer. If he does join, ESPN becomes a footnote 3 out of four shows a day and the Score's ad revenue flourishes.
