Not sure where this belongs, but someone with archive access should go back and pull the audio from when Norm called up the David Stein show at around 2:30 in the morning on one random weeknight about 4 months ago.

Stein clearly knew who he was and was somewhat shocked that Norm picked up the phone and called...Norm was pretty bummed out from what I remember and conveyed a few personal matters he was experiencing at the time to Stein.

Not sure if anyone recalls, but it was somewhat ironic considering the circumstances....

May he and Red rest in eternal peace.

670 "The SCORE's" Mike Murphy played the audio of the Sporting News Radio overnight host's 2006 chat w/Norm Van Lier during his Noon-2p show yesterday. It's about 5-6 minutes long, and I think you can listen to the podspot on 670thescore.com or sportingnews.com...David Stein also mentioned Norm's passing during his overnight show on SNR...

Seems no current Bulls players turned up at Norm's funeral. Kaplan at WGN goes off on it.
