Teddy Greenstein---can u say hypocrite, sell out, brain dead for going into business with north, i know the newspaper business is going over the cliff but to bow down to an genius like mike north

Jessie is the program director of this pile of shit

coppick and boom boom mancini, huh???

would love to hear what these clowns are getting paid. i would guess not much because nobody is giving up their other gigs, right? except jessie, who i'm sure the score doesn't miss at all

matt weber?? when did he quit the hamp and holmes show, wait that was probably the only good move made. too bad he won't make more than minimum wage at this gig.

somebody needs to get some info on david hernandez who is fronting the cash for this mess.

here's to north going down in flames later this year, hopefully draining his life savings

1) So I guess North really will ruin Teddy G's career after all.

2) "ChicagoSportsWebio.com is promoting "a major announcement" on its site."

I'm actually getting a headache just THINKING about a Coppock/Boom Boom show.

Hey, Huebs, are you out there? Were you, or do you think you might be, offered a chance to be a part of this? If so, please visit here before accepting any offer:

something smells fishy about this Next Step outfit. They haven't been around that long and have sued Johnson & Johnson for $5.5 BILLION DOLLARS according to this:

A few weeks ago on MITM,North made the comment that some car companies are already planning internet radio and how Sirius was doomed. He bragged on how he was on the cutting edge compared to Mel Karmazon (CBS Big Shot) with his SportsWebio site. One of us could set up a similar site & broadcast a show, too! Not too difficult. I kind of look at it like the phonebook. Dial a number, someone answers, big deal!! The key is proving to advertisers, someone is listening ON THE RADIO. No ratings,no money. Of course, they can charge money to the public for a download. They can also charge the advertiser for each download. That is different then radio access which I think they see in the horizon.

Hmmmm Do you think North is trying to cover his ass for the failure of Monsters (I always wanted my own webio station its my true love and dream)

A podcast is a helluva lot cheaper to put on than a TV show.

Costs would go way down with revenue staying the same.

All you need is Dan McNeill in this POS.

You mean North spent part of his show talking about himself, his great deals, and his great business acumen? Gee, how unusual. That hardly ever happens.

If they have an iphone app they'll be ahead of ESPN 1000 in regards to internet streaming.

Well since north has bought such heavy hitters like NDHS and the city of Rosemont for a TV show, one can only wonder what he will bring in next. For a guy who said he was chicago radio, he sure is having to spend a lot of money on keeping people from forgetting him.

As far as Jesse goes, this was the offer he couldnt refuse? I love Jesse, good guy, but a stupid choice on this one.

I dunno, just read the article, this looks like college radio to me. I hope Hood does well, but if he is actually leaving AM1000 for this......huge mistake.

Another thing, internet radio in the car might happen soon, but they still have huge issues with it, its not perfect and in this world, it needs to be or people will just go to radio or cd's.

I give them all credit for "thinking outside of the box". In this troubled economy, desperate
measures for desperate times. I mentioned on another posting that they might be thinking of marketing this programming on a "network" basis across the country. If they can line up 1000 small radio stations and sale them this for 500 bucks a week, that's 500,000 bucks a week for North & Co. Just some numbers I threw out there but you get the idea. It may sound funny, but that's how Oprah got rich. Maybe the internet thing is just a smokescreen.

My main question is a simple one. Why would people listen to north over the internet when they didn't listen to him on the radio (as ratings showed) and don't watch him on TV? His show already goes out over the internet according to the article, and yet NO ONE seems to have known that? This is just another attention seeking move to try to make Mr. Irrelevant seem relevant. This has failure written all over it, just like everything else he has come up with.
Also, this Next Step Medical is an employment agency, where did all the money come from? My guess, north is burning through his money at a rapid rate and so is the owner of the employment agency. I doubt they have enough to last very long.

"Because yous know how dey say TV adds 10 pounds to yer weight? Dey also sez dat da Internets adds 10 points to yer IQ. So's if yous tought I was stoopid on da radio, I will now sound 10 points smarter. Dat will bring my IQ up to about 65, so give it a try. I will also try and have more boners as I interviews cheerleaders*, if dat's da kind of ting dat turns you on. Tank you."

*For those of you who haven't seen it yet, check out the "Make Fun Captiony Time" thread under "Local Sports TV and Writers." Absolutely priceless.
