I saw this posted on another board. How about going with some in house talent instead of the pile of butt cake we've had the last few weeks like Jerry Springer and that bozo last week? Especially since starting in 2 weeks it will be preempted by the Cubs quite a bit. I'd like to see Judy Pielach and/or Leslie Kieling get a shot. I also like Nick Digilio of course but have the feeling if he was going to get it he would have already. Dan Diebert impressed me would have to hear more to make a real judgement though. Anybody but that boob last week. Shockingly I actually thought what little I heard of Springer wasn't bad, |

Are you referring to Garry Meier? Garry had been auditioning for that time slot since John Williams was named morning man to replace the "retiring" William "Spike" O'Dell...Although nothing's set in stone, Newstalk 720 WGN bosses are tightlipped concerning who will fill that time slot, especially because Cubs' afternoon baseball will pre-empt whoever eventually fills the void next month... |

I dig John Williams and hope he continues in the morning. He does a good interview and asks tough questions. As you mentioned the Cubs play during that time, I think you can just throw Sports night with Kaplan at that time instead and then put a decent listen in the evenings. |

I like John Williams. I usually listen to WGN until 2 when B&b comes on when it's not Bears season because I don't think the other shows are as interesting during the rest of the year. I also have the Score on when something is breaking with the Cubs or Bears. And I only listen to Murph when Bob Sirott is stupid.. Sometimes I still have Hamp and Holmes or Mully and Hanley on. |

i caught the she-beast rita cosby on the air today. i'm definitely glad it was on the radio and not on the tv, because she should never be able to scare the united states like she did in the past. |

Rita Cosby...She hadn't missed too many meals, and besides, she could barely speak when she was last on MSNBC a few years ago... |
