Today, he reported that Soriano is telling the Nationals that he will not play the OF for them. Ummmm...This was reported like 5 minutes after the trade was made, which was what, at least a week ago? Also, he said arbitration on Willie and Timo was due today, but it would probably be no. Whitesox.com said they'd deny it the day the Sox got Mackowiak. I like George, but come on... |

Also, it was NOT official earlier in the day that Timo and Willie were not being tendered. So, George reporting as he did was correct. The story on the website you're talking about was speculation at the time. Take a look at the following and notice the date.
