They don't have the broadcast rights to either one of Chicago's baseball teams these days, but ESPN Radio 1000 has brought "Chicago's Baseball Tonight" back to its schedule, just in time for the start of the 2009 regular season. Baseball fans who don't necessarily want to hear Ed Farmer & Darrin Jackson's call of the White Sox on 670 "The SCORE" or Pat Hughes & Ron Santo's call of the Cubs on WGN 720 can listen to Jeff Dickerson & Chicago Tribune columnist David Haugh talk Chicago baseball weeknights at 9p on ESPN 1000. It's not quite the return of "The Show", but local programming after dark has returned, just in time for baseball season. |

Hood and Dickerson were great on CBT, it's a shame Hood's gone. |

I think I head them say it's from 9-11. They're still gonna do a national show from 7-9. That's probably a smart move for the station. People are watching the Sox and Cubs anyway. Why waste money doing a 7-9 show that nobody listens to? They'll have Sox and Cubs post game. Although most Cubs and Sox games will end at 10pm unless they are playing on the East coast. But the Cubs play a lot of day baseball. |

Brian Kenny's new show airs weeknights 7-9p on nights the Bulls don't play, and because ESPN Radio also has the rights to the NBA & Major League Baseball, I think there will be nights where "Chicago's Baseball Tonight" won't be on. |

Heard some of it last night. JD always does an outstanding job. I'll miss Hoody doing the show, but David Haugh seems to be filling in nicely. It makes me happy when I hear around the horn and the accompanying music. |
