I haven't heard anything about them developing something like this. Perhaps Mr. Hernandez should put some of that $dough behind developing this to allow listeners the ability to stream their shows more easily. I would be more inclined to listen when I'm out and waiting somewhere or even in the car if I just had to push a button and hear the shows live. There you go, Pappy - some advice, nearly free of charge. I'd only ask three beers apiece for my co-nerds, if that seems fair. I think a nerd, browsing pantsless on the internet, feels more like a nerd if he can have a bottle of suds. That's only my opinion. |

Normally I don't respect you at all Dr. Kenneth Noisewater but I agree 100% with you on this one. This is something they HAVE to have in order to succeed. I stopped listening to ESPN 1000 when I got an ipod touch and found out I couldn't stream to it without jumping through hoops. |

Noisewater has been surprisingly lucid the past day or so. |

The lack of Illini sports on the schedule has cleared my mind and focused my thinking. I just learned Portuguese. You should see me play Jeopardy. |

I'm all for this - my workouts always get in the way of Waddle and Silvy and soon golf will get in the way. I'd even pay a small 1 time fee to get that app. |

I usually don't pay for apps until I fall in love with the lite version. Or get feedback from other users in person or try it on their phone before I buy. Even if it's a buck or two it's the prinicple that some of the apps are not built out yet that they are so worthless. |

You can listen to Monsters on just about any phone, by visiting the website. I believe when you go to click live, it will automatically detect you are using a cell and act accordingly. Since this works, you can then bluetooth it to your car speakers if you have that ability. I have a strong suspicion they are currently working on an iPhone specific app as well. |

But the main question remains---WHY would anyone want to? |

I imagine you can just browse using your cell browser but that takes a bit more effort and my browser crashes on the iPhone pretty regularly depending on how "fancy" the website is. The app would make it one-button easy and also be always on the phone staring at you reminding you or anyone playing with your phone of "Chicago Sports Webio". spadaesq wrote: Wunder Radio provides a quick and easy way to listen to thousands of streaming Internet radio stations and other audio streams on your iPhone or Windows Mobile Phone. Just go to wunderradio.com If I'm Chicago Sports Webio guru, that's an awful alternative. The last thing I want to do is point people to an app with a thousand other alternatives to my programming. I'm Chicago Sports Webio, that's all you need, as Pappy might say. Plus, along with the one-touch ease, you could possibly tailor the app for local sports scores or news (I don't know the limits on the multi-functionality of the apps) and even throw a 1 inch banner ad for "Next Step Medical Staffing" at the bottom or your sponsor of the month. Sawbucks, as they say. Right now, I've got an app for scores, another app for sports news, and another app for a couple web streams I like. Webio could potentially combine all that. Then, Pappy really would be on to something "new" and "revolutionary". |

Let's not pretend that there isn't a whole line of people, on this very site even, that will be listening to that Webio on Day 1. I plan on sampling it at some point, at least for J. Hood, and probably Webby's show. I'm sure North has "his guys" that want to listen to the show too. I'm just providing some advice to Mr. North on a way to help market his new venture. You know not every post we make about North on this site has to rip him a new asshole. Although that certainly can be fun also. |
