http://csnchicago.com/pages/main - two videos currently on the main page. One is Jerry talking with them about the Bulls, one about the White Sox. He gave an unapologetic "Pax is my guy" during the Bulls clip.

As an out of market guy, this is about all I get to see.

First, what the hell kind of production value is it to have that girl LITERALLY walk into the shot to hand Mike some sort of piece of paper? REALLY? As he's talking to Jerry - she comes in and hands him a piece of paper. Incredible. Do they not realize that this is on TV - or is that part of the "we'll have radio mics AND pretend we're doing our old radio show" approach?

Secondly, I've read all of the remarks about Mike's clothing. Today featured him wearing a Sox hat, a too tight tee-shirt, and him sitting at an angle to the camera where we have to stare at his rooster-like loose neck skin. Bizarre to say the least.

I tell you, for a city that is trying to "shine" to get the Olympics - it's scary to think that someone might happen upon this show and think "ok, that's what Chicago is all about".

Yikes.

that has happened. I have met others at training I've had in other states. A couple of guys from Iowa asked about North. I was embarrassed. They were chuckling as they asked.

reinsdorf was the shit for telling it like it is. looks like pax has the job for as long as he wants it too... i say keep kirk, rose, deng, noch and that one curtis bench player i forget his name. trade the rest of the team, keep vinny at the helm (my kinda guy!) and then we'll win some playoff games.

this is why i hate jr, to rip the coach or imply that he is doing a bad job when JR is the reason vinny is here is just typical reinsdorf. JR didnt want to pay more seasoned coaches, vinny fit the cheap way he wanted to go, so you get what u pay for. Reinsdorf then gives pax a pass on it, bullshit, reinsdorf gets a free pass on his cheap ass ways of doing business, he has had some success, yes, but this bulls crap fest has some of his fingerprints on it to.

i disagree. the bulls won the lottery, they went from looking for a long term solution to needing a filler QUICK. no seasoned coach would want to take on the bulls in this stage. rose is a nba baby and the rest of the team sucks. this is the perfect time to have a cheap underskilled coach, because the players just need minutes right now, coaching is only going to make so much difference right now.

in a couple more years, maybe next year, we will see a real coach come in and ride the derrik rose / elton brand wave (i bet hes comin back boys!)

Reinsdorf rips the Bulls and they immediately turn it around (I'm not suggesting one lead to another). They go from 9 games under to likely finish 42-40 and the sixth seed . . . . and nothing from the Chairman.

I think most managers act this way: raising his/her voice when someone is underacheiving, and letting them know when they are surpassing expectations.

I think the current Bulls (who despite their recent run) are still very mediocre... and shouldn't elicit any sort of praise quite yet.
