Perhaps this subject has been brought up before but why does The Score keep ramming a non-sports guy like this tool, David Stein when we could have locally a show that can field us for talking about the previous night of action. You want to talk about show that is absolutely unlistenable, its Stein's. If I turn on his show at all, it is for SN update. When he is not on during the weekends, its tolerable.

I was a frequent caller to Les Grobstein's show when he ran in the late '90's to 2001 and where people might have found me annoying, we did have some fun on that show. Before 670, its was a bitch to hear the show on 1160 out in St. Charles so half the reason I would call in was to listen to show on the phone to take the burden off my ears for a little while.

Anybody up for making a stand on this? If you find Mr. Stein utterly painful also, lets make this a cause!!!

I've enjoyed his program every time I've been up early enough to hear it...considering who the Score has in the midday slots, I don't see how they could have anyone better for that time slot...

I agree The David Stein Show Blows---Whats good in your life---Dude its early morning when people call in,,,There's a reason his show is on when everyone is sleeping,Pay it forward--same thing every night--Espn has Jason Smith so thats what i listen to.

Unfortunately, radio stations left & right continue to eliminate overnights in cost-cutting moves ordered by the station's parent company. That may explain why you don't hear a live jock on the FM side after midnight on the likes of B96.3, US99.5, 97.9 The LOOP & Q101.1 to name a few. I know there are guys on the SCORE bench, Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch, Jason Goff & Matt Abbatacola to name a few, that wouldn't mind staying up late at night on 670 AM talking sports with fans. I omitted SCORE producer Jay Zawaski only because I haven't heard enough to offer an opinion on whether he also deserves a shot if WSCR ever went live & local late nights & overnights again... That being said, I don't know if SCOREheads and/or fans to ESPN Radio 1000 will get their wish of live & local sports talk into the wee hours of the morning ever again.

David Stein is horrible. How this clown has a radio show is a mystery. I really miss Les Grobstein doing overnights on the Score.
