Post subject:  That little burrito Larry Holmes
A few wks ago he was trying to be all cute saying "hey listeners..let me teach you some code words...when the Bears say "sprained knee" for Cedric Benson...it's code for "torn ACL"...he's not coming back".

And there benson is this weekend playing for the bears.

Holmes is such an idiot I hope he gets hit by a truck walking out of the Score studios.

There is not much truck traffic "outside of the Score studios" in the hallways of the 6th floor of the NBC building, if any at all.

As far as the ACL - this is an injury that is extremely easy to diagnose and repair. It's also severe enough for the docs who diagnosed it to force the patient into surgery without any regard to what Lovie or Angelo want. Keep in mind that Huber and Kelikian are first and foremost practicing physicians in the city. I can't possibly see a circumstance in which a non-factor player (such as Benson) with severed knee ligament will be forced to play.

"burrito" huh? "Hit by a truck"? It's one thing to dislike the dude and to say you dislike his broadcasting, but for F***'s sake, don't be an ignorant dickhead in the process.

Hey, leave him alone - if Larry H-bomb wants to act like a backstabbing jerk like he is, he deserves the bad press.

Its just too bad Zaidman is there - he makes Holmes-o look good!

I think Holmes is trying to find stories, and has some interesting reports, but my main problem with him is that he sometimes tries to create a story where there is none.

I believe about 1 month ago, he was attempting to argue that maybe Lovie Smith isn't giving enough credit to Ron Rivera for the defense, and that may hinder his chances of landing a job....

And, of course, we have his usual show, about every 6 months, where he deals with race in sports. Not saying that race isn't an issue in sports, but he tries to come across like he's the first person to ever bring the issue up.
