He'll be on all the stations this week pushing the lame ass book

It was actually weird hearing his voice on the radio this afternoon - not that I'm a huge North fan but I would listen frequently to him in the morning and I really started listening to sports radio when an uncle turned me on to the "Wise Guys." It's after listening to that afternoon program that I developed my 'relationship' with sports radio. I quickly learned that there other, better shows and even another station up the dial.

Now being in sales and in the car from 8-5 everyday, and having not heard his voice in such a long time via the radio, it just caught me off guard. Then after the interview I thought, He did not sound like a raging prick, and sort of thought about possibly buying the book to read what he has to say.

He was on plugging his book. It was actually a pretty decent 20-30 minutes. North didn't come off like his usual ass clown self, and actually deferred to Meier most of the time. I was glad he corrected the sports ignorant Garry about the breaking up of the Bulls. Earlier Garry was bitching how they had 2 or 3 more title runs in them! Did he even watch the '98 finals? Anyway it wasn't bad. Of course Mikey is trying to sell a book, which is probably why he toned it down a bit.

All the hoodlums on this board are just jealous of the great success that Mike North has had over the years. He is a self made man who came from nothing and made millions of dollars. He has proven that he has the fire and the passion to be the greatest radio voice of this generation. When he finally retires, thousands of statues all across Rosemont, Park Ridge, Niles, and Skokie will be built in his honor. This book is just the first chapter of his life. Part two will be about how he took over the national airwaves and become in the number one voice in the world.

Roe just asked North what the last book he read was. That's a funny thought in itself, but Mike replied, and I shit you not, "The biography of JULIO Caesar Chavez, dat migrant farm worker."

How could you not know? According to you North-o-philes, we North-haters obsess about him, we stalk him, we spend all our time writing about him . . . seems to me, given all that, we've made our case against him pretty clear many times over. And you still don't know?

Which is it? Do we make fun of him too much, or not enough to let you know what we don't like about him? Do you need further explanation? If so, I suggest you pour yourself a tall drink, sit back, relax, and read all the prior North threads out there. (Even if you don't agree with them, some of them are pretty damn funny, if I do say so myself.)
