I haven't listened to Murph since he was on in the morning until I wanted to get more of the Murph jokes I've been reading on this message board, I never realized how bad he is with taking criticism. On "what's your beef", a caller said that his beef was with Murph for being a self hating Cubs fan and not saying anything positive about the team. He went as far to say that Murph has been wearing "Sox Panties" since they won the World Series. Murph then dared him to say something positive about the Cubs, and the caller replied with "One good thing about the Cubs is that you are off the air at 2." Murph hung up on the guy and played the awful Brown's chicken winner music. Of course though let the record show that the caller hung up on Murph. That caller deserves better than Browns Chicken for telling Murph the best thing about his show was the 2 o'clock hour. Cheers |

He was feeling surly today...he came out firing on Kieth Jackson during the transition for some reason. I thought Jackson did a good job...you won't get a flawless broadcast from him anymore but he does a good job of capturing the feel of the game. |

Murph is the same guy that defended Harry Carry when he was a slurring, flem troubled bafoon during the last 5 years of broadcasting cub games. |
