Post subject: | Thank you |
Thanks to those of you who listened in the past few months, whether it was for 5 seconds or everyday. Today was another pretty lousy day. Some of you have shown concern for us, some said it was our own fault. I can only speak for myself saying that I'm responsible for my own career decisions. Nobody duped me into this. I left a pretty comfortable position over at the Score to come here. In hindsight, it wasn't the correct move it turns out. Things happen. It's my own fault and no one else. This business isn't the most stable around and I knew that since I started in radio back in college. I'll survive. I may not be able to get back into radio right away, but I'll get a job doing something. I'm not going to sit at home and feel sorry for myself, I have a wife to consider in this whole mess. So I'll be back hitting the want ads in a couple days. To those of you who sent along good thoughts, thanks. Those of you who laughed at us, well, I don't know if I would have done the same thing to someone who lost a job, but it's your right. I wish I could say everything that went down, but I'm not sure of the legal ramifications that could come of it all. I'm sure you'll get most of the story through the newspapers tonight and tomorrow. I loved working with the people I did. Matt, Fred, Hood, Doyle, Chet, Ray, and Jesse are all good friends of mine and they will continue to be. Steve Goffman is simply one of the best guys I know and one of my best friends in the world. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with this group, even if it was for a short amount of time. Also, all my former co-workers at the Score and Mitch have been very supportive through all this, so thanks to them. Hopefully I'll be back in radio someday soon and I'll look forward to the ripping on me that will happen soon thereafter. Thanks guys! |

Most, if not all, of the laughter and ridicule is at Mike North. Good luck. |

I'm sorry you are losing your job. Just a quick word of advise-NEVER TRUST A MIKE NORTH DEAL. He's a con man who got conned. I wish you well and hope you hook on some where very quickly. |

Godspeed and good luck. In this economy both my wife and I have had to look for jobs in the last 5 years, she's still looking. We all make choices, you saw a sinking ship and tried to hit the lifeboat. I have found the venom that some express towards people who try to entertain them unbelievable. Some deserve it (yes, North), the overwhelming majority don't. So to you bigtim and others I give my best wishes for success. |

One more thing, Tim, while we got you: DO NOT GIVE HERNANDEZ YOUR BANK INFO TO GET PAID. We read that he wants that from you guys. Make him write personal checks. |

Tim, best of luck to you. You guys got screwed by Hernandez and North. I hope you are able to do what you want, even if its in radio. You may be wise to look beyond radio as the future of the medium is not bright and its unlikely there will ever be much money in it again. I hope you didn't extend yourself as I heard some of the young guys did on the promise of higher salaries etc. The lesson from this for everyone is to always ask questions and take nothing at face value. Good luck. |

What amazes most of us is how no one asked questions. Who in the hell was listening to that Wildfire nonsense before the current debacle? North is proving to be Gilligan and you guys are on the island. Good luck to all of you guys...you are VICTIMS. |

Best wishes Tim. It's definitely a tough biz, but from what I listened to from the Fred & Webby show, you did a fine job and I"m sure you'll be on your feet soon. Maybe I'll see ya around sometime at a Kilroy's or somewhere sometime and buy ya a beer. |

With a last name like Bock, you're probably a good man Tim Bock. Best of luck to you and most of the other 'grinders' that chased after greener pastures. It sucks that it went kaput so fast for you guys - but I think you made some good points, and learned a bit about 'business'. |

They all took jobs in good faith...they were screwed over big time by a god damned convicted felon who your hero, North, didn't bother to do due diligence on, if he even knows what the hell the term means. What gives with you and North? Did you used to hang around Chase Park together in the 60s smoking cigarettes, wearing baggy blue pants with dago tees and wait for the neighborhood alkie to go buy Schlitz for you? North is a hustler..plain and simple....and he is in way over his head with any type of business dealings in a level over operating a hot dog cart at Olympia Park. A G.E.D. is not a damned M.B.A. Figure it out. |
