no, i heard the same thing you did, that the score offered him a different role (don't know what it was) and he turned it down, that's all I got...

I thought 670thescore.com took down Murph's face, profile & blog when the Bleacher Bum signed off last Friday... As John Rooney once said, "My mistake..."

he wouldn't have quit - means he gave up the rest of his contract; if he was quiting, seems id he wouldn't have had a more good bye ending

I know I am in the minority, but I am going to miss Murph. I always enjoyed him in any slot he was in.

Before you quote me and make your snide remarks, consider this a preemptive strike and fuck off in advance.

I'm with you Swami Mr Reason. Loved him the most on the weekend garage time/errand shift. I think he did Sat/Sun 10 -2. Whether I was out in the garage or yard or running errands, Murph was there in long form. Whether he was telling stories like the time he umpired in tough, tough Argo-Summit or was interviewing Steven Zymbalist from CCNY, he always had a lil' 'sumpum for me.
And I always start my day by fuckin' off!

It was love/hate for me as far as Murph goes. I liked his bits, like Beef and Tool, but couldn't stand the way he talked over people and put words in their mouths.

Actually, yeah, I did. I never called, but I always thought I could do that well because I dictate alot, and I say the commas, semi-colons, periods, etc. so the secretary gets it the way I want it.

In a feat that will bend time/space and redefine quantum mechanics, Murph will simultaneously sell Brown's Chicken door-to-door, face-to-face and over-the-phone.

Mike Murphy is scheduled to appear at the Score's remote outing at Murphy's Bleachers this coming Friday. Thought I heard that right just now on the air. Checked the website and indeed it says Mike Murphy right after Danny Mac.

That is odd. His name is still listed as a Score personality as well.

Yeah Mac and Spiegel were talking about it today. Said that he had a very soft landing at the webio and he was lucky the news broke when it did. Seems like Murph changed his tune and came back to the table at the Score when it broke. Personally I hope they let him do Hit and Run and put the sports whisperer out to pasture.
