It's been brought up ad nauseum, but I honestly don't know why North is still running around yapping - why Chet is on the phone with Mac this morning - why Shaer is blowing in a call to Mac.

Don't get me wrong, it is providing great entertainment for us board splosers - but, good God, why continue to talk?

Is it just the fact that all of these guys see their flame of their fame being extinguished?

Back in the day the Feds would have had to go to the station and demand tapes, now all they have to do is jump on the net to get nicely recorded files of all of these guys talking.

To me, it's crazy ... and, maybe that's it, maybe they've all gone nuts?

Now I'm just waiting for Jesse to drop-in to the studio to chat it up with the WMVP crew.

Starting new threads is apparently encouraged here, so I am a lemming and needed to do it today. That and there's 29 threads that have chatter about the need to SHUT UP, just thought one would be good.

In any case, my point is that the amount of people that REALLY care about this is relatively small ... that is, people that get all in a lather that Tom Shaer said this or Chet did that etc. So while these guys may think that they have to "tell their side", I think the wise move would be to shut it (as guys like Offman, apparently, has chosen to do).

I just think that they can only hurt themselves more than they can help themselves with the running around to radio shows etc.

There is a certain degree of "help themselves" though. Just check the Mac section and you will see suggestions to bring Chet in as a segment on Mac's show. I agree with you that the potential harm far exceeds the potential benefit.

Ike, I know you're clearly rattled by the nearly-as-tardish JohnKirk trying to grab your title - but there's no need to lash out at me you silly, dumb bastard.

Shaer is about the only one in this whole "I need to defend myself" media parade that I get doing it. North, Chet and a couple of others blabbing on and on is a bad move that has very little upside to it, and much more of a potential downside.

I for one support the creation of new threads. Why do people get so fucking pissy about it? I would much rather have many threads and choose the exact topic I'm interested in than scroll to the 8th page of a thread that's only related to my interest.
