Got a good couple hours of radio with Jason Goff last night and my opinion of him was reaffirmed: dude knows how to do a radio show. (quick side note: anyone who thinks he is a Bernstein clone is a dumbass, that’s for sure.) Obviously Goff is on the younger side of sports radio, so I think that’s why his show appeals to me most. His stories and anecdotes make a lot of sense for a mid 20s guy like me, so it's easy to relate. But besides that, it’s just a lot of little things: Being a wrestling fan, intro music has always been high on my radar so I'm easily disappointed when a show comes back to some crap. Coming out of the break last night to the "Hate me Now" beat was friggin' awesome. And as you could expect, the quality of calls after 10PM isn’t exactly top notch, but I thought Goff did a great job reacting and righting the ship after a few of the bad ones. I'm a Cubs fan, but like the Sox a lot too... so it was nice to hear a guy who truly doesn't seem to be a homer for each side. He knew the stories of both teams (although I do believe he thought Harden was still on the d/l, oh well) and was able to lead the conversation intelligently, without faking it for the 'other' team or homering for 'his team'. Anyhow, I won’t go in to too much more detail (don’t want to sound like I’m slobbering over him), but I did want to get the guy a PSA and suggest you tune in next time he is on the air. And I am officially on the Goff bandwagon. Dude's an entertaining listen, and I will for sure put the headphones on and catch the next 10-12PM shift. |

I always enjoy Jason's work. It's refreshing to hear a younger cat talk sports on the radio. Hope he gets more of an opportunity to shine really soon. |

And if you go to Hoops IV, you'll find that he talks...and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks. That is, when he's not impregnating spectators. |

Well put Chris. Goff is solid and a perfect voice to wind down to at night. Mantime Wednesday was pretty damn funny... I feel a little "old" listening though for an almost middle 30s guy like myself. |

I'm a fan of Jason's work too. I think he should have a nightly shift, and I'm even older than Doug! |

I never really listened to him a lot before. Never heard his show with Hampton. But he has done a good job in the evening. |

Said it before and I'll say it again - never liked Holmes' work until hearing his first few spots in the evening this week. Great stuff. Only got to hear a bit of Goff last night but it was some of the best radio I've heard in a while. |

Fellas, I just sent an e-mail to Mitch about how great Jason Goff is. Mitch does read all of fhis e-mail so I encourage those of you who also like Goff to do the same. This guy needs his own show, and after Holmes from 10 - 12 would be a great spot. Who the hell listens to Dan Patrick anyway??? |

As a public service from your SHARK, you'll be happy to know that Jason Goff has another show on the horizon THIS SUNDAY NIGHT 8-10p on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. I was listening to Jason again late last night and he sounded terrific. Fans, if you haven't tuned into Jason's show yet, you are in for a treat. |

There's no substitute for good taste, let alone good radio from a guy who I've enjoyed listening to whenever The SCORE gives Jason Goff an opportunity to get behind the mike and talk sports for a good couple of hours or so. |

Jason doesn't suck nearly as much as he used to suck...way to go Jay... You had nowhere to go but up and you were able to find the way, unlike Drinky, who seems to be stuck on the low road. |

Goff is my guy. He's been my guy. He'll continue to be my guy. And that behind-the-back pass I threw him back in January...I don't do that shit for just anybody. |

He called his old man at the Post Office. You could tell he was busy. Jason sucks a lot less than he used to. He is growing into his role as on on air personality. I like having the bench on instead of the SNR crap. Mitch is less of a boob as he was a few months ago. |
