This struck me as odd. Wasn't Mike North's last day at the Score June 24, 2008? Why did Bebe North purchase the domain ChicagoSportsWebio.com three weeks before that date? (see details below). Isn't the story that Hernandez approached North, not the other way around?

Who knows, maybe Hernandez floated the idea back at the Pappyland party in 1996?

So when did Hernandez come into the mix here, specifically on this idea? As for writing on the wall, North didn't have to leave the Score. Did he turn down $800K with the webio—and possibly Hernandez—in mind?

Stupid people are more dangerous when they are given things.

I'd lose the address too. None of it is vital to your point.

You guys are right. I don't fear the anyone on the board will use the info improperly, but the point is made w/o the address and phone.

EDIT: Oops, Freudian slip? I meant "improperly" rather than "properly."

The webio site was gone by June 15. Appears in the cache for Yahoo/MSN/Google, but w/o images and CSS.

You're right Didea. This can be circumstantial info but it raises some questions about the beginning of the North/Hernandez relationship re: the webio. Maybe it an idea that Mike/Bebe idly had been kicking around before he left the Score. In which case, why/how did Hernandez approach North to invest in an idea he presumably knew nothing about?

If Hernandez approached North before the end of the Score era w/ the idea, did North really believe he'd make more than $800K w/ the webio rather than with a guaranteed contract w/ the Score? Was he that insulted by the offer, or was something else in the works?

And why didn't the CSW launch shortly after North's departure from the Score, rather than 8-9 months later? What was going on in the interim? Dontfademe.com—with its attempt to land subscription money that may/may not been refunded w/ the overnight disappearance of that site, which is eerily echoed in the quick disappearance of CSW.com—and the private gathering of investors' funds for the webio, I assume.

At the very least this will require some clarification from Mike/Bebe, and I suspect the facts will contradict the official story as it's been told to us.

My suggestion is someone (Bigfan) send the proof of payment for dontfuckme.com as well as a letter stating no refunds were given (if that's still the case) to the SEC, FBI and Lisa Madigan's office. Was money from that venture being diverted to another venture (not accusing, just asking)?

Now that I've posted this, how long before Bigfan gets a refund?

What may happened (and this is pure speculation on my part) is that the equity markets collapsed and the credit markets seized after June 2008. Potential investors may have lost interest in investing in an internet start-up.

Maybe nobody wants to give their money to Mike North? Ever thought about that!
Who really knows who pays COMCAST for their ads with North's show? I could see North bartering some ads with The Great Outdoors, The Little Guys and thats all i can think of at this time. I know his show has other ads, but they are national accounts, that I think COMCAST has already, despite North.

Look for the media rumors to hit the newspapers in October, North will deny deny deny, he will know how much this venture cost him. He will start cutting expenses (JIGGS), producer, graphics,

Like I said before,North's ultimate goal is to get a various topic type show with Jen as his co-host. He will attempt to syndicate it and become rich like Regis & Kelly/Kathy Lee. The money is in the syndication rights.

Mike looks at Dan Mason as a guru. Mason had been telling people that terrestrial radio is a dinosaur. Mike was just following that opinion.

Why do people tune into online audio streams? Maybe b/c they first heard the content on... the radio.
