The WSCR think-tank is quite happy with Les Grobstein's overnight show. However, in looking at the weekly ratings so far, they have been quite disappointed with the listener turnout for the quality show. They are now weighing whether or not to invest in an ad campaign for it or have Les' show flip time slots with the Dan Patrick show, which would bring Les up a few hours earlier and have a wider audience potential. By the way, if this does happen, the rerun of the syndicated Dan Patrick Show will be almost 24 hours after the timely show was originally made and will fall pretty much in the "why bother" category.

I'm not really savvy with the radio business, but why doesn't the score give dan Patrick's time slot to one of the young producers? If no one listens to patrick anyway, why move the show around? just get rid of it...

I thought it was already solidly in that category.

I wouldn't mind hearing live, local sports talk after 10p instead of Dan Patrick's tape delayed show weeknights on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. At the same time, I wonder if D.P.'s syndicated show via Chicago-based Content Factory makes money for WSCR, kinda like what Jim Rome's Los Angeles-based sports talker did for ESPN Radio 1000 when it was on. It's my understanding that Rome's show actually made money for WMVP via Premiere Radio Networks when it did air...
